The Halle Family

At the outskirts of the Kingdom of Valoria, A small family of siblings lived their lives tending to their peice of land of crops

In the middle of the strawberry fields stood two twins harvesting the strawberries and into their baskets, Rochelle and Ryan has both brown hair , their eyes the color of the bright sun stood attractively on their light goldish brown skin both smiling ear to ear

"Guys! Take a break and have some snacks!" a sweet voice called out to them, Turning their heads towards their small wooden house stood their eldest sister in her tattered dirty brown plain dress and white waist apron with a tray of cookies and bread in hand

"Oneechan!" They closed their basket filled with Strawberries and rushed towards their eldest sister, Kaila smiled sweetly at her younger siblings

once the twins was sitted she began pouring their cups with warm milk as they munch on the snacks she made, her lips arching into a beautiful smile, Wiping the sweat of their faces Rochelle took the baskets they had and placed it in a corner "Oneechan we harvested 7 full baskets each today! they're so ripped and tasty!"

"That's wonderful! after you're all done go on and take a bath, We will visit town and sell them, and also get you guys some new books and clothes" the twins smiled happily, both began talking about the recent books they've finished

Kaila couldn't help the smile on her face widen, Ever since their parents abandon them for their lovers, she has taken the parental role and took care of her siblings, she was at the age of 5 when she was left with no other choice but to take care of her 2 year old siblings, They took refuge at an old granny's house which gladly took them in, Unfortunately she aswell left them, Past away leaving the farm to them, and their sorrow filled tears for them to drown in

it has been hard but after 12 years of that they have finally moved on, She was grateful that the granny they called there's took them in and left them a roof to shelter them

Now she's 17 she has gotten use to their lifestyle, her siblings now at 14 years old have been her life.

they'd tend to the strawberries while she cleans the house and take care of the rice and wheat feild at the back of their small wooden house, Every week they'd go to the town to sell their products and buy some materials for their everyday need

"Oh." Ryan stopped eating and looked at his palms

"hmm? what's wrong Ry-ry?" his twin, Rochelle asked

"I just.... Ro-ro what do you think our parents are doing right now? do they miss us? are they atleast worried for us?"

"Ry-ry..." the smiles they had earlier disappeared and a face filled with sadness appeared

Kaila raised her hand and smacked the twins on the head "Ow!" both groaned holding their heads

"You really know how to ruin the mood huh?" Kaila glared at the boy which made him look down, A smile crept to Kaila's lips "I'm sure they're happy with their lives right now and has no room to worry. besides we've lived happily already, worrying about them will just annoy them." she grabbed the empty plates and placed them on the tray

the twins watched their smiling eldest sister "Besides we have each other, Isn't that enough?" she looked at the twins with a smile, As if it was contagious Rochelle and Ryan smiled and nodded with a hum "Now, Both of you get ready and take a bath, Soon we'll leave to town"

an hour past and they have departed, Once they reached the town by foot she watched the twins gleefully leaped into the air gawking at the towns people and the stalls filled with sweets and other colorful items

"You two can go ahead and explore, I'll just sell these and I'll meet you guys to our usual spot, alright?

"Alright! haha Ro-ro look they're selling colorful puppets!" Ryan exclaimed pulling his twin sister with him to a stall of toys

After she made sure that they were together she began walking further in town with 4 baskets of Strawberries, two on each hand "Town of Stars really is beautiful, Hasn't change one bit"

after solding the Strawberries at the fruit shop who tried cutting the price in half , she headed straight to the middle of town where she told them where to meet, Just as soon as she reached the middle of town, Her siblings stood waving at her beside the towns waterfall

she was about to walk towards them when screams erupted, People running everywhere screaming in fear "It's the demons! they've came back!" upon hearing this panic rose to Kaila's heart, not for herself but for her siblings

people running everywhere made it difficult for her to squish in and approach her siblings, people in wizard clothes and a white bird emblem began running around aswell looking for the demons, As soon as Kaila reached her siblings a Human like creature stood infront of the twins, It had the appearance of a man with a long crocodile tail and scales, it was about to swipe towards the twins when Kaila went between them receiving the attack from the claws the demon human like creature

"Ugh!" Kaila groaned in pain yet instead of falling in pain she took out the small knife she had tucked inside her dirty brown plain dress' pocket and swiped at the demon making it back away, She raised her other hand blocking her siblings from the demon

"Tch, Another worthless human! you think a punny knife can kill me?" the demon exclaimed

she couldn't ask for help, She wouldn't anyways, No one will help them, the world seems normal but demons lurk and the world is all about survival, If you cannot protect yourself you do not have the right to live.

Every wizard of the Ghost Dove guild was busy attacking the other demons that appeared, she has to think fast, What the demon infront of her said was true, a punny knife like hers is not enough for the demons scaley strong skin, on addition she was bleeding on her back from the earlier attack

"Onnechan!" the twins cried out in fear, Their sister is hurt and they were surrounded

"Rochelle, Ryan! run! go back home and lock the doors! take the Holy orb with you and go!" The holy orb was a special item their grandma left to them, Even though they weren't her biological grandchilds she took them in and protected them, Their home was the safest, the wood material used on the house was a blessed wood. if she had any other choice she wouldn't let her siblings go alone as it was dangerous, Only the holy orb can protect them now while she keep the demon busy

"B-but Oneechan!" Ryan was about to argue when Rochelle grabbed his hand and shook her head at him

"Brother! we cannot stay, It will only hold eldest sister back!" with tears in their eyes they took out the holy orb from their pouch, both holding hands they broke the orb teleporting them to their desired destination, It was for only one use and can carry two people, it was their last orb too..

"tch, Meesly two brats ain't much of a big deal. but you on the other hand... your life force will be a great dinner for me!"

"No!" she swiped and swiped the knife in her hand towards the demon who easily dodged her attacks, She can't die, She can't, she's the only one they have and leaving them will be selfish.

"Haha! you're dead meat now!"
