The demon leaped towards Kaila with his claws glinting in a threatening glow, The red glow on his claws indicated a strength enchantment, his plan was not only to grab her soul, but also her heart

the murderous look on the demon was enough to scare her soul and make her shiver down through her spine, The next thing she knew the demons claws went through her... through her chest, The demon had his claws past through her chest and to her back holding on to her heart

the demon laughed maniacally laughing at the thought of his meal with an appetizer of a human heart

Kaila's eyes went blank, Her mind spinning and only the thought of leaving her siblings behind made her heart ache, or supposedly the heart that was suppost to be in her body, now she doesn't have it...

"The light has been released!" one of the bleeding wizards who was fighting with the demons shouted, followed by cheers and running footsteps

as she drop her mind was slowly fading and her soul was being sucked out, another shout followed "Now! release the Satan Staff!" one demon by the roof yelled, the leader of the group of demons

on to where the demons came from, a demon took a black with skulls staff out and pointed it to the sky, a light of dark purple and black emanated from it and shot through the sky like a laser pushing the white clouds on the now dark sky causing the sky to be covered by the ominous energy from the staff, Soon on the wizards side a giant crystal was thrown onto the sky exploding into million pieces, it froze in midair with the pieces and glow a bright golden color, soon it also released the golden light to the sky like laser, the colors clash and exploded everyone around the area was thrown away.

but, under the explosion the pitiful dead corpse of kaila laid, a hole in her chest, the demon who was planning on eating her soul was thrown away leaving kaila with her soul slowly fading..

instead of the light blowing her off the light of two opposite colors entered her body, sucking up all the energy that both sides released.

"Cough Cough!" Kaila sat up on her bed inhaling and exhaling deeply as she cough

a hand reached out to her and patted her on the back while the other handed her a cup of water, Taking the water without hesitation and gulping it down, After drinking she gave the cup back and looked around her

she was back at home in bed, her twin sibling, Rochelle who handed her water and Ryan who gave her light Pats on the back was standing beside her small hammock in her tiny room, both her siblings has a face full of worry and dried up tears, Unconsciously she raised both her hands and touched their faces which the twins held closer to their face

"What happened? why are you two crying" her usual sweet voice sounded raspy

"Onee-chan, we came back after we heard an explosion-- and we saw you in a pool of blood! everyone in the town was in a pool of blood" Rochelle said crying, Her voice shaking as she remember the scene they witnessed, their sister... their loving older sister was in a bloody mess surrounded by corpse

"when we checked up on onee-chan, Onee-chan had a hole on her chests clothes, we saw you move so we brought you back here and cleaned the blood! good thing you weren't hurt anywhere else except the slash of claws on your back..." Ryan paused and then looked away, His eyes brimming in tears "sorry Onee-chan.. if we weren't there... if we just moved out of the way Instead of allowing our fears to swallow us.. if only I wasn't weak enough to protect both of you... you wouldn't have been hurt!"

"shhh" Kaila grabbed her siblings and hugged them tight, they both began to release more tears and their suppressed sobs erupted "It's not your fault, It's no one's fault... What matters is that we're all safe..."

little did Kaila know, the next day she will find out an extremely horrifying news about herself, and about her growing ability that will make her be the worlds target...
