Chapter 79 Rekindled Heat

Blue/Ava's POV

"W-We have to go home now," I said as I looked away.

I can feel my heart beating so fast. I know what's in his mind. He wants to kiss me. I've proven it after he glanced at my lips and swallowed hard.

Kiss. Why does the idea of him kissing me excites me? Is he really just a stranger or we had a deeper relationship before. But if yes, then why isn't he saying anything about my past? He should've reminded me about who I am.

"Yeah," I heard him say and heaved a sigh. "I'll just get the tools at the back. Stay here."

His voice was icy yet soothing. It's as if calming me down, telling me everything will be okay. The weather isn't nice, but having him by my side calms me down. I shouldn't feel this way, but I do.

It took him almost an hour before he's done. He went back to the driver seat. He's soaking wet again. I want to speak but I don't want another awkward moment with him. I don't want him to stare at me again. It's making me nervous.
