Chapter 74 Are We Close Enough?

Blue/Ava's POV

I ran away after I said Mr. Sanford's name. I don't know why he'e acting weird. Why does he want me to call him by his name? Why does it feel like I know him? Why does it feel like he's very familiar? And I don't know why my heart reacts to everything he says or does. This is confusing me. I want this feeling to stop but I can't shoo him away because I must admit, I feel at ease with the idea of having him around.

This is crazy! How can I be attracted to someone I just met?

"Mommy, can I watch TV?" My daughter's voice brought me back to reality. She was staring at my face. Innocence can be mirrored in her eyes.

I looked at Nicholai and smiled at her. I nodded. "Yeah. Yes, baby."

I turned the television on and caressed her cheek. She sat on the wooden sofa while I stared at her chubby face. I wonder if her father is still searching for us or if he's happy without us.
