Chapter 47 Are You Really Mine?

Nicholas' POV

I threw the countless photos on the floor that Laura gave me. I kicked the couch and shouted my curse on the top of my lungs. My chest is moving up and down rapidly. I can't control myself. Anger is overpowering me. I've been trying to figure out who killed my mom and why she was killed but… but now. I don't know anymore. All I want is to punish those who are responsible.

"Nico, I didn't leave you because I wanted to. I left because I want to find the truth about your mother's death. Luke Morris also threatened me to leave you or he'll hurt you. I was scared, Nico."

Laura hissed angrily. "Luke Morris is the heir to the mafia group that's against the reign of your family in the mafia world, Nico."

I don't understand. After leaving me, here she is, giving me information about my mother's killer. I glared at her. "Why would you meddle with my life? This isn't yours to decide, so why?"
