Chapter 46 His Mother\'s Killer

Nicholas' POV

"Bye!"

I stared at Blue's face as she waved at me and entered the hospital she's working at. She's smiling. Her eyes are worried-free but why does it feel so wrong? I felt like she's starting to distance herself from me despite being so bold whenever we're having sex. It has been three weeks since the first time we made love, and I'm starting to feel like she's building an invisible wall between us. She's obviously starting to avoid me.

I don't like this! I need to talk to her. I need to make sure that she feels the same way as I am. I need to give her assurance that I won't disappoint her.

Instead of going home, I went to my bar and met Theo in the private room. He got drunk last night and he slept here. He's drinking coffee when I came.

"Man!" He greeted me as we bumped our fists.

I lazily sat on the couch across from him and rested my back on the couch. I shook my head and palmed my nape. I clenched my jaws. This is making me crazy. What should I do?
