Why Did This Happen?

"Mom can I bike over to the cherry blossom park really quick, it will only be a few minutes, please", Seunghan begged his mother. "Honey , it's 7 am , what for?".  He pointed to the calendar, " It's the 17th mom, it's been 3 years since I first met Rejin''. Miss Kim smiled, "You're really crazy for that girl huh?". 

He nodded with a smile. "Alright fine, you can go, be safe and come straight home". "Thank you mom! I'm going out the back". With that he took off out his back door with his little bag and began to get on his bike. He heard some commotion coming from the front but he decided to ignore it and quickly get to the park. 

Seunghan arrived at the beautiful place and wasting no time at all he began to pick the prettiest blossoms he could find for his Rejin. He picked 17 blossoms and wrapped them carefully with a white ribbon then he grabbed a little piece of paper and began to write as he sat under a particular tree.

" Dear Kang Rejin, Today marks 3 years that we've met, are you excited as I am? For the past 3 years I never took my eyes off you, not once. My heart beats out of my chest whenever I see you, can you hear it? I wanted to tell you that having you around makes me the happiest person alive and if things would have gone any differently I don't know what I would do with myself. Kang Rejin, Jinnie,  I love you so much and I don't want to love anyone but you, I smiled for no one but you ." - Kim Seunghan 

He put the note in his pocket and got back on his bike giving the park one last look before riding away. When he got back home he still was hearing noises coming from the front so he decided to put the flowers behind his back and held the note nervously. 

When he walked outside what he saw made his heart drop to the ground. He saw a moving truck and Rejin with her mom getting into their car. Seunghan ran to the car as fast as he could and called her name, "Jinnie!". She looked up and spoke quietly , "Oh , hi Seunghan". He looked at the truck, then at her with bitter eyes, "W-where are you g-going?". " I didn't tell you? I'm moving". 

Her cold voice crushed his little heart into pieces. Hiding his tears from bursting out he pulled the flowers from behind his back and held them up with shaky hands, "I-I g-got these f-for you, 3 years ago t-today, don't you remember". Jina looked at the flowers and smiled, "Oh Rejin, he got those for you, why don't you thank him". Rejin shook her head, " Can we just go mom". She pursed her lips , nodded and started the car. Seunghan couldn't see her leave. He put his hand on the window, "Wait Jinnie! Don't go, I h-have something to t-tell you". She rolled the window , clenched her teeth and whispered to him, "Yeah I do too, get lost". That's the last thing he heard from her before they drove away very quickly leaving Seunghan alone in the street feeling the weight of a million men. He dropped the flowers , fell to the ground and burst into tears.

His mother ran out of the house, "Oh god honey! What's wrong! What happened?". Seunghan looked up at her with red puffy eyes, "She left...Jinnie left". "Oh honey, it's gonna be okay, let's just go inside".
