After calling Yumi an idiot, Sachiko felt so much better that she thought the world was suddenly more colorful.
"Come on, Sachiko, baby.. We don't say that word to people, okay?" Misaki was still trying to explain to Sachiko that she shouldn't call people idiots but Sachiko tilted her head more as if she was genuinely confused.
"Call idiot?"
"No, baby, don't call people idiot.. Okay?"
"Idiot!"
"No, no. Don't means no. Okay, No using that word!"
"No?" Sachiko repeated the word.
"No."
"What is no?" Sachiko asked with a straight face.
"Umm..."
Misaki was puzzled on how Sachiko could not understand her while she had just spoken a full sentence.
'Could she be lying?' The thought crossed her mind but looking at the 8 months old baby who was now staring at her face in confusion, Misaki shook off the thought. How would her baby be lying? She was only eight months old.
Meanwhile, Sachiko felt like she got a free pass to do whatever she wanted. She could basically say what she wanted with little to no consequences because she was a "baby".
After a while, Misaki temporarily gave up on educating Sachiko on what she should not be saying, and went to cook dinner.
While Misaki was gone, Sachiko taught Yumi some words like fool, moron, dumbass, dummy and told her to use those words.
"Sachiko chan, how do you know so many words?" Yumi asked her.
"Of course, I know so many words. I'm a genius." Sachiko replied proudly. "I'm such a genius, yep."
"It's so cool! Ne, let's become sisters!!! We can play together everyday and we will have so much fun!" Yumi suggested to Sachiko.
"Uh..no thanks?"
"But..why?" Yumi asked sadly. "I thought we were bonding. You were even teaching me words!"
"Yumi..no big sister!" Sachiko stuck her tongue out and Yumi started pouting at that.
"But I'm older!"
'Yeah, no. I'm mentally 19.' Sachiko thought to herself.
"Nope." Sachiko refused to be a little sister of the toddler, Yumi, because why would she?
But, Yumi was determined.
"Sachiko chan, I'm going to be your big sister!!! okay?!!!"
"It's not a screaming contest, idiot Yumi." Sachiko muttered quietly. "Anyway, I'm busy so can you go bother my mom?"
"But, I'm not bothering you!"
"I decide if you're bothering me or not." Sachiko said, "Besides, don't you want to go and brag to everyone about me calling your name as my first words?"
Yumi's smile brightened at that and she jumped in excitement. "Right!! I'm gonna go tell everyone!!!!"
"Bye, bye! Also, don't come to my house at 6am tomorrow. I'm a busy baby." Sachiko told Yumi before she could run out of the room.
"Uh..okay? I'll come at 7 then!" Yumi paused her steps, thought for a while, then replied seriously.
"Not 7 too! Just..come around 1 or 2 pm.." Sachiko said.
"oh..but then I have to go home before dinner and I can't hang out with you all day!" Yumi cried.
'That's my point...' Sachiko thought.
"Come on, Yumi. Pretty please?" Sachiko decided to use her baby charms finally so that she could train in peace.
Without a doubt, Yumi fell for it and reluctantly agreed to come visit Sachiko only after 1 pm.
When Yumi finally left, Sachiko sighed in relief.
"Good grief..finally..I can train my cursed energy."
Sachiko started to think about her current progress when it comes to cursed energy. She still hadn't manifested her cursed technique yet so she could only train how to use cursed energy. She had been trying to strengthen herself with cursed energy constantly and it had been showing some positive signs.
She could feel that she definitely had more strength and durability than ordinary eight month olds, and she had also been trying to walk. Although she still couldn't, she could now stand and take a step or two before falling.
An improvement, nevertheless.
She still hadn't figure out the output of her own cursed energy when she charged it outside her body, though. Because her cursed energy amount is infinite, the amount she spent could never actually be calculated like using something up. She couldn't sense a clear amount of how much cursed energy she was pulling out and so she always tend to overuse more than necessary.
She had already broken the window in her nursery more than ten times at this point, random things in the house had already been destroyed more than a few dozen times after she used them as dummies for shooting out cursed energy.
Sachiko could tell that Misaki was starting believe that the house was haunted and she even overheard the poor woman asking Yuki for exorcists or something.
That was a sign to be more careful, Sachiko knew that and that was the only reason she had been holding back these days.
'This is such a drag...I can't wait to be able to go outside alone so that I can actually practice fighting with curses.' Sachiko thought to herself.
For now, though, she had to stick with her usual routine.
She tried focusing cursed energy on her finger tips and focused on the amount of cursed energy wrapping around them. She needed to be able to adjust the amount of cursed energy she was using proficiently, focus on certain parts of the body at any moment and then use cursed energy to strengthen and enhance her whole body if she wanted to fight with strong curses.
-----------------
A few days later, Sachiko heard from Misaki that Yumi got into trouble for saying bad words and that Yuki wouldn't be allowing Yumi to visit Sachiko until she fixed her behavior because she didn't want the eight month old baby to be influenced badly.
Seeing Yuki becoming mad about Yumi saying the words she taught, Sachiko almost felt a little bad. Almost.
Part of her was happy that Yumi didn't come to bother her everyday while another part wondered if Yumi really didn't say anything about her being the one to teach those words.
'Maybe she did but Yuki didn't believe?' Sachiko wondered, which was possible. Why would she think a eight month old baby could teach bad words to an almost four year old kid?
It'd make more sense if it were the other way around.
Nevertheless, with Yumi being banned from visiting her house, Sachiko focused on her usage of cursed energy and trying to walk.
She was just too tired of being carried around like a baby at this point.
--------------------
Finally, a month later, Sachiko started to walk. Misaki was amazed because Sachiko was still nine months. She so was still puzzled on how Sachiko just started talking so fluently one day out of the blue. There weren't really signs of struggling to say her first word, and then she just started saying full sentences in a day or two even if she showed some sign of confusion when Misaki taught her how to speak in a more respectful way.
But, still, Sachiko was a baby so Misaki wouldn't really expect her to be perfect as long as she was growing up healthily and happily.
Should I write more of baby Sachiko or should I do a time skip to around the age she gets her cursed techniques?
