Deep in the Ancient Ruin of the Forgotten, there was a group of Heroes that had traveled far and wide in hopes of gathering strength to vanquish the Demon King that had threatened the lands of Kersin.
[Holy Light] Their torches weren't enough to keep them out of the dungeon's darkness.
And the deeper they traveled into this dungeon, the more the darkness tries overwhelming them, but light always prevails and as the darkness tried eating away at them, the Angel amongst these brave Heroes raised her hand up to conjure a greater light to vanquish the surrounding darkness. . .And all that hides in it.
Lighting their path for them to continue deeper into the dungeon.
. . . . .
With wave after wave of Undeads and Golems blocking their path to the boss's room. They broke through the all of them and fought and rested several times to get to now.
And as they continued through a narrow passageway that seemed safe for now, they stumbled apon an Ancient scripture on the wall.
And as they gazed upon the scripture, they couldn't understand it? It was in a very old tongue, one that wasn't Abyssal, Celestial, or Common? It was something of mixed races, the tounge of the Angel and I'x-Demon's language.
[‡He is to never be awakened, the last of his Demonic species, a lord and bringer of end times, he is the last Demon of the Ancient Devine era, he can't be killed, our only hope is sealing him away before he matures‡] Half of what was up there wasn't translatable from Enochian(A&D language) to the common language. The rest was in something darker than Abyssal(Demon).
Not even the Angel who's lived for a few hundred years understood it? However, she knew about the Ancient-Devine Era.
And it was about 10,000 years ago from today.
But what was so dangerous that it needed to be sealed here, this wasn't even a Celestial Grade Dungeon? It was a high Level/Tier 4 Dungeon belonging to this Region?
She had no clue what was going on and as she tried warning her dearest Heroes, her disciples... None of them listened, those girls only had one thought in mind, and that was slaying the Demon of a very powerful 4th Tier Dungeon in which would boost their powers.
And it agitated the Angel that they were like this, that ignorance of theirs is going to be the death of them. Yet she was there so that outcome wouldn't happen. And so as she followed her Heroes, she relentlessly gave up as there was no reasoning with them.
. . . . .
With the Roles of Warrior, Assassin, Roge, Mage, Priestess, and Ranger, these heroic Human girls dove deeper into the dungeon with their Angel supervisor at their side.
* * *Many Hours Later* * *
In a room full of off looking humanoids, Nature Elementals,
they walked in there and it was like a mini village with just regular people, but the only difference was some had leafy green or earthy brown skin? And for some odd reason they all had earthy like armor shrouding their bodies like an exoskeleton.
The Heros saw nothing of it as it looked like a human settlement inside this dungeon which wasn't usual in the extra large dungeon with valuable resources.
But as the Elements saw the Heroes, they all instantly turned hostile and readied themselves to attack.
The Heroes were shocked by these humanoid-looking creatures.
Why did they look at them like that???
But then the Angel jumped forward.
But then the Angel rushed forward, "These creatures belong to the Demon race! Don't be fooled heroes!!!"
Putting her hands together, [Light Javelin] she opened her arms, shooting many javelins out from a light line connected by her hands.
Some were hit by her light javelins, but that had only alerted the other elementals and they quickly adapted.
Slamming the ground, a wall of earth shot up from the ground, saving them from the deadly light attacks trying to take their heads.
But they were too distracted by the Angel to notice that the Heroes took what she had said to heart and used it for their Morals as this was experience for them to fight "Demonic Creatures" of such level.
Taking what was said and using it, the Main Hero, the Warrior, she stepped forward as the first to do something.
. . . . .
[Thunder clap] The Main Hero surged forward in a bolt of lightning, cutting down everything in her path.
[ Fireball - Level 4 ] A Large sphere of blazing fire appeared from the Mages staff and launched off, hitting one of their protective walls and destroying it in a large explosion.
"Sebrina! Good job, looks like your fire magic advanced in only a single year!"
The Rouge Hero yelled from off to the side as she slashed away at an elemental and the Assassin cut out a few of their throats in a swift motion next to her.
Exchanging looks Sabrina nodded to her and they both smirked as they started clearing the area, it was quick and effective and they used 2 main types of magics to kill the demonic humanoids/elementals. Electric and Fire.
***
Once all was cleared, there was one left, a single survived from the mini-village of demonic creatures and as he was about to be killed like his fellow brethren, he put his hands out and backed away as the Angel stepped forward to finish him off.
"Wait! I'm not a Demon! I'm a slime!" Unknown
His body started to shift into a red transparent humanoid slime, and as he started to mold into a big red ball of slime, he switched back to human form and pleaded for his miserable life.
"Please spare me! I'll do anything you ask!" Red Slime
However it was to no avail as the Angel stepped forward to smite him with her light.
But then the Priestess stopped her?
"I got this, Master" Priestess
Walking up to the Slime and getting a few feet in distance away from him for safety reasons while the others surrounded him, she asked.
"Slime, where is the Arch-Demon of this dungeon?" Priestess
She asked him this and yet he didn't understand?
Tilting his head he repeated back.
"Arch-Demon????????" Red Slime
But then something clicked in his head, they said arch demon but could it be that these foolish humans could have been confused?
"Oh, are you talking about Asmodeus? Hm... If that's the case all of this was unnecessary? 'Are they his friends? That's weird? Strange? There strange and barbaric?' If you let me live I'll take you to him. . .But I do have to say, his tomb is really cold," Red Slime
Saying that as he didn't know what to think since the nature of Demons and Demonics were all crude, so he was quite questionable on all of what just happened?
Especially since the Elementals attacked everything that they didn't accept or like, so this could have been another dungeon inner conflict?
Either way, after watching that he spilled the beans and was questioned for many minutes.
. . . . .
After a bit of time, he moved his hands to search his pockets, and as he pulled out a blue bottle, he had almost gotten himself cut down because they didn't know what he was doing.
But after doing such,
"It's just a potion so my slime doesn't freeze!" Red Slime
He was defensive but lucky for him the Priestess was a kind soul and as she spoke she gave them a reason not to slay him.
"So the boss of this dungeon, Asmodeus? Slime what can you tell us about him? Before we visit your boss of course" She said in such a sweet tone that it made this slime blush.
Putting his hand behind his head, he timidly spoke back to her.
"Well you see, I've never actually met master Asmodeus, he sleeps in the coffin of eternal darkness. But I would say that I've heard a bunch of stuff about him from the elementals. They all knew him for over 10,000 years!"
They gasped as they heard he was that old.
But nonetheless, they were going to beat him no matter what!....(They're wishing too hard...)...
But then he continued speaking.
"Asmodeus is more of a child if anything, but not literally, his appearance is that of dark purple hair and bloody crimson eyes, he's short and his personality to the others are kind but cruel" Red Slime
"There was alot of things which he was allowed to do and things he couldn't, but he usually got in trouble with his subordinates because he never acted like he was supposed to be around his Elementals... The people you killed... They were like his family" Red Slime
"Oh, let's see, besides him being the Ruler of the Dark Realm since birth for a hundred years before his eternal sleep, he was... I think it was the lord of ice maybe? No, that was someone else? Wait? Was it?" Red Slime
"I don't remmber? I think it was something with him being sealed away by his own kind due to falling in love with a human?... Maybe? Something like that, sorry~ I can't remember anything else?" his memory went short.
Looking to the slime the Priestess then opened her mouth, "Thank you for the info Slime, now can lead the way to your master?" and said that but then heard snickering from the others behind her.
The Heroes, "Well that info was complete and utterly useless," said as they found it useless and didn't pay too deep into it like the Angel had.
After all, Humans were commonly known for looking down on others, and if it came from a lowly Slime, they weren't going to care.
Alas, all 6 of these "Heroes" were extremely young, the oldest was the Rouge Hero who was 17 while the youngest was the Assassin at the age of 15.
This made them young and stupid, they only cared about defeating the Demon King, the current one trying to become the successor to the Dark Realm and Ruler of this Devine realm aka the Overworld.
But what got the Angel so worried was that he had said the Ruler of the Dark Realm, that ment not just the Underworld but Purgatory and all its evils, no one knew about the Ruler of the Dark Realm since he had never been seen before, but if the slime was right, they were going to face a Demon who might be a few Ranks higher than the Demon king, and he will be an even worst threat to not only this realm but all.
* * *
Walking to the boss room he drank the potion and his red eyes became blue as well as his slime color, and as the Angel walked next to him, she decided it was best to ask questions now better than later.
"You said he ruled the Dark Realm at birth for a hundred years before an eternal sleep of sorts right? But does that mean that he's about a hundred years old if you don't count his slumber?" she asked with caution.
"That's correct, he was around a hundred years old when the other of the high council found him to be too much of a danger to be left alive. But they didn't kill him, instead they imprisoned him in the darkness of eternal sleep," he said as he walked in front of everyone.
"Do you know why? Was he a tyrant of sorts???"
She asked but he laughed.
"No, he was mostly a gentle person" Red Slime
"Mostly?" she didn't get it, what the hell did he mean, this is the ruler, a being above lord, king, and emperor?
"Well, you see our lord is a Demon of strong emotions. Born from the greatest God of war the blood God Krone and the grate goddess of love and lust Jösephinetle" he said with passion as there was a legend relating to the Ancient divine that the Gods, Demons, and Angels, were born from the gods.
"There were a few times where he had to slay those who opposed him and as he did, he show no hesitation, but he always granted mercy, his mercy was a painless death, he didn't like the suffering of others, or I think he enjoyed it so much he got addicted, but that's just of the legends" he casually said not know much of it.
'He murdered the divine beings of the high council once, he told me personally that he did it himself, and they were replaced after a few years after, he handpicked the new council members, and those were the same people who imprisoned him in the coffin of eternal darkness, Master A***edi*, I'm so sorry'
He thought to himself while rethinking their past.
"But those two don't mix? Jösephinetle and krone are complete opposites they shouldn't have been able to make such a creature!? And even if it is a part of the divine legends, Shouldn't he be born of the abyss Evils and not the Gods?" she denied it but then calmed herself.
"Okay, so why was he sealed away?" she asked calmly,
"Well he was a danger to not just both Demon and humankind if that makes any sense?" Red Slime
But then he came to a complete halt as a room with the large door's appeared before the Heroes.
But then as they were about to open it he stopped them "wait that's the head Demon's lair, that's not the boss!" he warned them and they frowned as he pointed somewhere else.
They all looked to where he pointed and it was to a small normal door on the wall; to the left of them.
They looked at him stupidly as if they were going to actually believe him, if anything it was a trap, and they weren't going to be killed by a mere slime.
But then as they almost turned hostile to him, the Angel started walking towards the normal door.
"Thank you little slime~ Would you like to accompany us to visit your lord?" she said and got super excited.
"I'd love to!"
Looking to the others she gave them a reassuring look and told them to quite glaring end hurry up to which they listened.
. . . . .
As they opened the door they were hit with a wave of coldness, it was so cold that apon feeling it, it made them shiver.
But after quickly adapting, they looked around the room, why search the room when it was obvious that the bastard in the boss's room was the boss, they thought.
But nonetheless as they listened to the Angel and looked around the room...
And it seemed like an ordinary room from ancient times?
With an exception of the walls as they were covered in frost and ice and no one laid in bed.
. . . . .
It was a nice room and as it has some items and trinkets which they found to be valuable, but they couldn't find any coffin, could it be that they were blind or were they deceived?
But as they were about to turn to the slime they had realized that they were blind because the black-looking small table was actually the coffin?
And as the Slime ran over to the small black coffin he was overjoyed and excited as he had finally realized that, that was the coffin and as he hopped and said "I found him!" the Angel walked over to the happy Slime.
Walking over to it gives it a quick observation, she wiped the dust from off of it and she then examined it with her magic and saw that this coffin was shrouded in blood seals.
And she had identified that this was in fact a real coffin and that there was a living, breathing, creature inside.
But it was hard to tell? She's never seen this material before? And as she touched it, it nulled her sense of touch, but it was obvious that it was a solid coffin.
"Ay let's bust it open and kill the bastard inside!" the Rouge Hero said as she ran over to them.
"Yeah, let's just get it over with, it's really cold in here, I feel like if we stay any longer I might get hypothermia" the Ranger hero complained.
Ignoring them the Angel continplated for a few minutes.
But then she turned to the Heroes and ordered.
"Everyone draws some blood and pour it into this cylinder of my magic" she said and they looked at her like "huh?" as she conjured a cylinder of solid light to hold liquids.
"She isn't for real is she?" the Mage said but then the Priestess stepped forward pulling out a dagger and slicing her hand.
Stepping over to the Angel she started filling the cylinder with her blood and after looking at the Priestess like she was crazy the other soon joined in.
With about a gallon of all their blood including the Angels in the cylinder, the Angel put her hand on the coffin, and symbols of light formed a circle in the darkness, and as it appeared she dipped her finger in their mixed blood and used the blood to write something inside the light circle,
The light grew bright and a chain set of reactions occurred around the coffin of eternal darkness as ancient scarlet hieroglyphs and characters appeared all over the coffin, suddenly transparent red blood chains appeared wrapped around it and as the Angel splashed their blood on the chains, a line of light started running through all the chains. And then the chains shattered.
But it wasn't over as she hit her hands on the visible blood marking on the bottom of the coffin and a spike of darkness shot out of the coffin, stabbing and pricing her hand.
As she flinched, she could feel her life force and grace getting sucked by the coffin, and as the Heroes were stunned she said everything was fine and she endured it for a minute as this was like an offering to the demon inside, or the coffin itself more like it.
The darkness spike suddenly vanished and as there was a large hole in her hand, she lifted her bleeding hand and pulled out a potion from her satchel on her side, immediately drinking it.
A blue light formed in the hole in her hand and in an instant her hand was suddenly healed in the blink of an eye, but at the cost of a [<Grace Potion>].
With the little commotion dying down from what happened, a few minutes went by and they were all frowning, nothing happened, the coffin was still locked and their efforts just broke the blood chain thingys!
"What was the point of that, it was so fuc-" but then the coffin shifted and opened, it was like the cap slid off.
Seeing this, all of their faces except the Angels was filled with light and excitement. And as they clenched the grips of their weapons, They looked in the coffin to see what the Demon they were supposed to slay looked like...
But as their faces brightened and their weapons were clenched, they looked into the coffin to see a small boy???????
He was a small boy(4ft 9in), with long misty purple hair and a natural tan complexion?
He was curled into a ball as he was sleeping, and this made them back away and look to the Angel as they were filled with many, and I mean many, mixed emotions and questions.
"I'm not against it, but I don't know if I am willing to kill a kid? Especially if they're so weak that their cultivation isn't even that of the 1st Rank and they can't fight back" the Warrior Hero said protesting.
"Yeah and looked at him, he doesn't look like a Demon? And he doesn't have horns? Wings? Or even a tail?" Priestess
The priestess looked at the human-looking boy but then the Angel clapped her hands together, gathering their attention.
"It seems as if our information was wrong?" she gave a death stare to the one who tricked them.
"It seemed as if it was just a coffin to preserve an Ancient human, probably a trophy of the actual Demon/boss located in the boss room?" Angel
Glaring at the bastard who had deceived and tricked the Heroes and Angel. The Angel just noticed something about the Slime as everyone was mad at him...
He was smiling...
Something was up?
Something was strange??
What was that slime planning???
But as the Heroes were pissed at the Red Slime, he hyperactively went over the coffin, holding onto the edges, and as he said something, the Rouge hero immediately noticed that that boy had on a necklace?
"@#-?|$×@ `@(` ÷∆!" The Red Slime said in an unknown tongue, and as he felt the eyes of all on him, he said something with the exact same energy.
"Asmodeus! Wake up you're free!"
Hearing the Red Slime say that to the boy in the coffin, they started to smell something sweet?
Inside the coffin, the boy opened his eyes and they all stepped back in case that boy wasn't actually a boy and he was hiding his true strength to fool them into thinking he was a weakling.
. . . . .
With steel blue eyes, he sat up and looked around the room at all of them, and as he sat up, the frost and ice on the walls suddenly started evaporating.
Shortly after looking at each Hero, a pair of bat-like wings sprouted from his back, and then they saw an armored-like tail wiggle around his backside, and then horns which appeared in the form of a crown became visible.
(If you don't understand the horn description, look up Albedo from the overlord series, it's like her horn design or the crown from the Monkey King)
Not paying much attention to his surroundings he abruptly started stretching his stiffened body before all his demonic features had vanished as the necklace lit up for a second; it seemed as if the necklace gave him the ability to hide his demonic features?
Pressing himself up a bit, he just sleepily looked around at the eight people, seven of them looked hostile and one looked like he was happy to see him.
"Uh... Where... where am I?" the forgotten demon sealed in the coffin of eternal darkness; Asmodeus
The little boy asked as he rubbed his eyes once more because this seemed all like a dream, but then the slime ruined it as he spoke.
"You are in the dungeon of endless dreams, or what the humans call it, the demonic dungeon of the forgotten," he said with a glimmer in his eyes.
"Oh?" Asmodeus
He didn't know how to respond to that, it was just so... boring, or at least it was to him as he didn't really know what that meant? But as he somewhat paid attention, he dozingly yawned and asked.
"Who?... Who are you?... All?" Asmodeus
And as he did, the Red Slime pointed to himself, jumping the gun and introducing himself first.
"I'm Zim and from what I've heard, those are your some of your friends. They call themselves the Heroes of Camelot!" Zim
He was lied to, this entire time the Angel had deceived him, pretending that she had once known Asmodeus and wished to see him again.
"Aren't you happy master Asmodeus~?" he said but then Asmodeus tilted his head in confusion, he had no clue who he was talking to or who any of these people were?
"My name is Asmodeus?" he looked at them and he sunk into the coffin, slightly popping his back head up.
"Not really. They don't look so friendly? They look scary and they're pointing stuff at me?" he argued and then the Angel gestured them to sheath their weapons.
"It seems like the rumors were wrong, It's just a weak, lesser Demon, and if anything this Demon looks like he might have amnesia too? Seeing as he didn't even know his own name?" she said as she sighed, she was really hoping to encounter a strong Demon.
"Well, this was a waste of time! Let's just dispose of him and go!" the Rouge said frustrated as she craved battle and if he was going to fight them, he was better off dead!
But then the Assassin stepped forward and kneeled down in front of him and next to the slime.
Touching his cheek.
"He's kinda cute? Let's keep him~" she said and as her hand touched his cheek, he glimmered, and like a cat, he rubbed his head against her hand.
"Huh?" they all recoiled in shock from her words, what the hell did she mean to keep him? Dose she not know that the kid is a monster!
"You know it's forbidden to harbor a Demon?! They're all supposed to be killed on sight!" the Priestess said but then as she looked at him, she noticed his tail as the only thing still out and it swayed around happily as he enjoyed the affection?
"I know, but with the amulets(necklace) he can hide and live as a human" she then turned to the Angel "please, this is all I'm asking for," begging the Angel they all looked at her like he was controlling her.
And as the thought of him controlling the Assassin, they turned hostile and the Warrior Hero looked at him like an enemy.
"I'm against killing the weak and innocent, but this motherfuc-" but then the Angel walked up to her and kneeled down doing the same to him, in which he reacted the same way, but he actually seemed happier when she came.
"He's a Demon, not a devil Mahiru? He lives off of his pleasure and displeasure, he lacks control and will impulsively do things like a wild beast," the Angel said to her and she nodded "I know but-" she was interrupted as the Angel stood up.
"I'll let the heavens know we killed the Demon of the forgotten, it was a tough battle with a new High Demon and you almost lost your life," she said and the others gave her strange looks?...
"But there was a weak Demon who was a slave of the new High Demon and he saved you from an enviable death instead of his own Master" where was she going with this?
"So for all your troubles, we'll grant you permission to keep the weak Demon as a servent, he's your responsibility and all his actions will reflect on you, and you'll also be held responsible" her face became colorful as she said she could keep him.
But then the Angel anxiously sighed.
"But what I'm going to tell the council is that he's a devil and also a child, sorry but devils are the only thing they'll ever make an exception to. Especially if it's an innocent untainted child," she said as devils were like the humans of the Demonic community meanwhile demons were savages that were hunted down by both humans and devils.
Which was mainly because the devils were in the way of the demons who tried passing through the 9 hells to get to the material world from the abyss and there was this whole blood war that's still going on down there.
"Thank you Master" she got up and bowed confusing him as he didn't understand them that well.
His original language [UNKNOWN] but he did understand Enochian to an extent but not so much as the common language.
There were some gaps in what he heard, but he didn't pay attention as that bed over there was looking very comfortable and he wanted to play.
. . . . .
Turning to him, and pointing at herself, "I'm Mahiru Hiragi and from now on your Asmodeus Hiragi, okay~" she said sweetly and he looked up at her "Okay" he was lost in a drift so he saw them as a shimmer of his light.
But what were her true intentions for him?
