As Lu Hanbing set aside his tablet and raised his head, his piercing gaze locked on Hirvan. The weight of his attention was palpable, and Hirvan could feel his pulse quicken.
The room was quiet until the sound of Lu Hanbing's footsteps was heard as he stood up and began to walk toward him. Instinctively, Hirvan flinched, the subtle movement betraying his internal tension.
Lu Hanbing noticed this and clenched his fist, a flicker of anger flashing across his face.
"I won't take much of your time," he said, his voice cool and controlled. "I just want to try something."
Hirvan blinked, confusion knitting his brows. 'What is he talking about?'
His mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. 'What is he going to do? It's okay. Stay calm, don't show any emotion!'
Without another word, Lu Hanbing reached for a book on the nearby table and handed it to Hirvan.
