World 3.10
Wuwu was gone.
Ru Xian went to the secret chamber after attending the morning ceremony, with some packed foods on his hands.
He was making big steps, making sure that he would arrive before the second ceremony. Clans will gather to talk about the ritual they will perform on the upcoming full moon.
"Wuwu.." he uttered as he opened the door.
He went straight to the kitchen hoping that he would find the man there, experimenting with some food to eat. But his disappointment hit him back when he saw no one there.
His brows met as he twitched his lips "Where did he go?"
Ru Xian went outside to look for Wuwu at the garden, but there was no one there. Only the trees and healthy plants greeted his sight.
He hurriedly went back inside to check the room, maybe the male was still sleepy so he decided to take a nap. He felt guilty for kicking him straight in the morning. Ru Xian blinked his eyes a few times, there was no one there.
Ru Xian clenched his fist in so much annoyance, he was not fond of playing hide and seek. He has no time to waste right now.
A piece of paper flew onto his feet, he looked down and picked it up.
"My dear prince, I'm sorry for taking my leave without notice, please don't look for me...I have decided to walk out from your life"
The words on the paper said. He kinda finds it suspicious but he doesn't have the right to force Wuwu to stay. A guilt lingered into his whole body. Is he too cold to him? Is he too cruel? Did he do something wrong? He was just surprised from that morning hug but it doesn't mean that he hated Wuwu.
Random thoughts occupy his mind in a minute. Wuwu is the kind of person who doesn't know how to hide, he can really say directly what's in his mind. He was a straightforward guy, Ru Xian can't deny that he is gradually getting used to Wuwu's presence.
Maybe Wuwu suddenly got tired of him? Or maybe Wuwu was only pretending to stay because he found the prince lonely and alone always. Wuwu was happy in the streets but Ru Xian wanted to give him a new life. He was going to make him his personal attendant and train him well.
Ru Xian sat on the bed, shrugging his shoulders. His eyes became gloomy in an instant. The paper fell on the floor. It was nice having Wuwu by his side, he admits it. He was just too shy to show himself.
"Wuwu...Where did you go?" He uttered. Maybe the male wants some space, a space away from him. A place where he really belongs.
Ru Xian knew that he was the crown prince, his name was connected to it since he was born in this world. A prince should accompany a prince, not a lowlife like Wuwu.
He was lost in daze when the bell rang, it was the time for the second ceremony. Ru Xian stood up, heading straight to the palace in a minute.
The palace guards inside bowed their heads. They greeted him just like their everyday routine. Ru Xian felt a little bit lonely, Wuwu was never like them. They gave him so much respect because he is the crown prince, they value their jobs more than their feelings. Ru Xian never finds comfort in it.
His chest tightened like a needle pricked him. Then he remembers Wuwu, the male never showed respect to him. He was treating Ru Xian like a spoiled kid who needed some beating. He never acted like one of those servants nervously asking for him what to eat and what to wear early in the morning. Wuwu is so different from them. He never cared if his head would be cut today or tomorrow.
"You!!" Ru Xian exclaimed, the palace guards jolted as they answered "Y-Yes my lord?!"
The prince gave them a cold piercing gaze "Report inside and tell them that I will not attend the ceremony, I feel sick" he ordered, one of the guards hurriedly head inside to report what he heard
Ru Xian turned away, his robe swaying with anger. Sneaking out is not a crime for a prince.

"Oh!! You're finally awake!"
A voice echoed into Wuwu's ears. He was still feeling dizzy and wuzzy.
He was in an unfamiliar place, but he can tell that he was still inside the palace because of the room ceiling and walls.
"What am I doing here?" He uttered
"Greetings, young Master of Xiao Clan" a not so old man crouched down in front of Wuwu.
Wuwu was sitting on the floor with his hands tied up behind. They have no evil intentions, they just tied him up to make sure that he will not go crazy after waking up.
Wuwu looked at him with a puzzled face "I am poor, I don't have any money...it will be a waste to kidnap me and ask for ransom" he said
The other man chuckles "Young man, we are not here to sell you or ask money from your family" he answered
{Why am I even here in the first place?}

Wuwu sprang and exclaimed "I swear! I don't have any bad intentions towards the prince!! I'm not a bad guy!"
The other man stood up "Unbind him" he ordered, one of his servants hurriedly untie Wuwu
"Mind having tea with me?" The not so old man asked as he walked towards the table to pour a tea
Wuwu followed him without hesitations, he sat in front of him with a confusing look on his face.
"Drink"
Wuwu looked at the cup of tea in front of his eyes, he was hesitant. Did they put poison? A truth serum? The other man sitting on the end of the table chuckled, telling Wuwu not to worry because it was just a plain tea.
Wuwu drank the tea in one gulp and then without any filter, he asked "What do you want from me? I am not a noble man, but I still have my own time to waste"
"You are the sacrifice to the prince"
Wuwu froze, how did they know about it? Are they Ruru's stalker? But based on this man's daoist black robe with white lines on the hem, it seems like he's one of those royal bloods living inside the palace
"How did you know that?" He asked with all his might
The other man poured another cup of his tea, he smell the edge of the cup before sipping the liquid inside it "You don't need to know, but if the prince were important to you...you will gave him permission to do it with you" he said
"Pfft…" Wuwu covered his mouth the moment he heard the the last words
{What the hell is wrong with him? Why is he talking about that thing after sabotaging me?}
"Am I such a straightforward young man?" He asked
Wuwu fixed his expression and then he cleared his throat "Pardon me, I am sorry but I don't understand what you are talking about" he replied
The other man's expression became sharp "The prince was cursed, and you are the only one that can touch him...are you?"
Wuwu nodded in astonishment.
"The time is running, the moon was about to be full, you need to lift up the curse before the full moon"
Wuwu scratched his head "Uhh...yeah I know he is cursed, and the full moon? I really don't understand, is he connected to the moon or something?" He asked
The other man stood up "You have a powerful bid inside your soul, the prince was the only one who can control it"
Wuwu brightens up his face "Oh! The bid inside me! Yeah, he told me that he really needed it" he replied
The other man quickly went to Wuwu's side, he sat beside the man and held his hands "Young man, it may be a one sided request, but the prince's life is also in danger because of the curse...you are the only one that could help him" he pleaded
Wuwu blinked a few times, hoping that this man begging in front of him is not Ruru's father. It's true that he threatened the prince to fall in love with him before giving his bid, but he really didn't mean it. He was just doing it for the mission.
Wuwu averted his eyes "Uhh...actually, I have decided" he replied nervously "I really want to help him but I didn't know how to give him the bid...do you...know a way?" He asked
The other man stood up and went back to his place in front of the table "I knew a way...there is only one" he answered
Wuwu giddy up as he now finds the answer he's been looking for. He spent a lot of hours thinking on how he would give the bid to the cold and short tempered prince.
"Can you please tell me?" He asked
The other man became silent as he quietly poured himself another cup of tea, he smelled the fragrance from it before drinking. He puts down the cup on the table, then a mischievous smile stretches his face.
"Kiss him…"
