Chapter 2.6 - ONWARD

As we're walking through the forest-which felt like hours, I look down to notice Amos holding my hand as if he's scared to let go, it made me less mad at him for not telling me the truth, and it made me feel like he cares about me, even though we met yesterday.

But as we walk further, we begin to hear music, until we reach the end of the forest, and see houses. We see kids running and playing, people going about their life's-whether it's working or shopping. And streets filled with shops and markets.

We begin to stroll down the street with people staring at me as I passed.

I look at Amos...

"Why do they keep staring at me," I ask

"Well it's either because you are really handsome or because you're with me"

"It's probably because I'm handsome but why would it be because of you?"

"Well because around here, you could say I cause some trouble"

My expression changes to confusion...

"What type of trouble?"

"It's better to not talk about it"

I wanted to know but I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable, so I just brushed it off.

"Okay"

As we walk further down the street, we turn a corner, he quickly pulls me into another corner, as if he's trying not to let anyone see us, and then we bump into a dead-end...

He moves his hand with some complicating movements and a bright light appears on the wall following his every movement. Until he stops and the walls open up-revealing a tavern.

He holds my hand once again and walks in, I look at him in surprised-wanting to ask him how he did that, but I knew he would say 'MAGICCCC', so I didn't ask, I just went along with it.

As we're walking in everyone stops to stare at him, but he doesn't seem to care-he just keeps walking.

He then walks to another room in the back where a lot of people are playing games and betting against each other.

As he pulls one of the doors open, everyone pauses what they're doing to stare, I could tell they were angry at him, but why?

Out of nowhere, a man with a long beard and crooked teeth jumps up and runs toward him, before he could reach him, Amos pushes me to the side quickly...
