It was long, tiring and frustrated day. In the evening i decided to go for a walk. It was not to keep myself healthy but to clear my mind. I usually talk to myself regarding the decisions and mistakes i have made in my life and it really stress me out. I didn't know what to do. I was thinking very deeply and didn't notice when i enterd the market. Market was very brimming and clamorous. I saw a small food stall where a guy was serving food and tea. Customers were not looking wealthy but they were giggling, chatting, smoking and sipping tea without any worries. I asked myself what is the reason that make them very joyful, why they are not stressing out? Several questions raised in my mind. I ordered a cup of tea and sat beside them in order to observe them more carefully.
Everyone was sharing their stories and telling us how their day went, how much they got paid and some actually made fun of each other amount they earned after a hard labour. In Pakistan labours are paid less, they usually stand at one point in a market to provide their services and sometimes they don't earn any penny. In full of excitement i asked one guy a question that what is it that make them so much happy, how are they going to pay their bills with that small amount, what if there is no customer tomorrow who needs their services? He then replied " If Allah gave us food today he can also give us tomorrow, never loose hope". I questioned him again that"What is it that made their belief so strong?" He then replied "Trusting God is different than trusting humans, God will never let you down even you disobey him but humans will betray you the second you are no use to them that is the reason i prefer to trust God than humans" His words were very beautiful and deep. When I was about to leave the guy standing on the food stall asked me for the addition to the answer, he said "My daughter has Leukemia and I don't know how but I am able to make money from this stall, I am able to pay her medical bills and I also fulfil her requirements, it's all because I have always trusted in Allah almighty and he never left me in darkness". After listening to his story I was in tears, it made me rethink about my problems that are nothing compared to them. They trust Allah Almighty more then themselves and always hope for a better tomorrow.
