Chapter 5: Spirit beast and spirit rings

"Sorry for the delay everyone. The announcer had important business so I will be taking over. Now, I will announce the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. First place winner goes to our well known champion, Noah Katsumi ! Our second winner goes to.. Jayla Fuyuko! Third place winner goes to Sora Daichi! Congratulations to all of you who have made it this far. Now, you all will now be sorted into different areas to get your spirit animals and rings. After you unlock your spirit animal, you will return back to the arena to receive your prizes."

So, this is where I unlock my spirit animal? This is where I find out where I belong.

"Kill, Kill, Kill, Kill"

Who's saying that? It's those voices again. The same voices I heard when fighting. 

"Sorry about that.. We are your spirit partners, Akari and Yami"

"Cool" I said in fascination 

"So you are our partner? Lemme guess, Noah?"

"Let me tell you something" It came up to me. "Never listen to those voices that are saying 'kill'. Only do it when it's absolutely necessary." 

"Only do it when it's absolutely necessary? When will I ever need to kill someone?"

"You'll understand in due time"

"So, how do I unlock my spirit ring, Akari?"

"Noah, you are not strong enough to. When the time comes, it will appear before you. Now let's go back and get your prizes."

Standing in the arena is a tall man who seems to be giving out the prizes. As I walk forward, I ask for the first place prize. He asked for confirmation. Using my element, I summoned a blue flame. He pulls out the Elemental sword and the heavenly art. The heavenly art looked different than what I expected. It looks like it was torn out of a book but it looks ancient. All the words were in Japanese. The sword is unique as well. It was all red with a silver handle with a blue and gold Sheif. 

As I grabbed my prizes, I went to catch up with Sora. Sora has been my roommate and my best friend for a while now. I wonder what he would say after I took his desired spot. Would it affect our friendship?

"Noah, are you ready to tell everyone goodbye? We finally get to leave this small town. We're one step closer."
