Overall so far, it's like if dxd was written with the characters having some personality; as opposed to where other authors write dxd where the characters have single digit IQ. The author added a nice touch by taking a different route into the dxd world than usual. It added some depth to characters that are usually neglected or pushed aside in dxd. The only real issue with the story is the pacing and jumble of characters that's been attacted to the protagonist from the start. It makes for a confusing and albeit annoying read when the plot is held in place by the already large inclusion of his harem, randomly chatting nonsense. There was a lack of character development for them, and they more or less are not placed well into the structure of the story. They're attached to the MC, have been around basically 100 years; the reader has really no idea what's going on with them beyond the massive random chat dumps from them. In my opinion, it really destroys the potential of creating links and relationships between other characters, as it's taking multiple chapters to move even a simple meeting between the MC and a dxd character. This would be fine if there was 2000 chapters or something, but moving at the current pace of the story, you'd probably expect any plot development in a few years at best. Again though, it's a pleasant start author, and it is nice to see that you've developed routes people don't usually take for dxd. a
it's nice take on the phenex family. most authors simply pawn riser off as a bumbling idiot, and travel as a dimwitted child, while forgetting that they are technically one of the largest and richest noble clans in the underworld. adding a personality beyond the usual is a very nice touch author.
overall it's a fun read so far. the translation is easy to read and understand. negatives are the translator removes the relation interactions, your typical Chinese racism, and the typical sexism you find in Chinese novels. Such as people have complained that it's Yuri/ntr; however you have to look at it from the perspective of a Chinese novelist. The women aren't partners or really a relationship for the most part. The main woman is a flake, the second one is basically a bought and paid for prostitute that he's taking advantage of by taking her future followers, the robot girls are basically artificial slaves, and the the clone is literally a self proclaimed normal human that feels and requires substance : yet has no other life beyond driving him around and servicing him in bed. It's hard to claim ntr when it's one enslaved blowup doll messing around with your other mail ordered blow up doll. beyond the obvious plot holes, like the fact that he's literally changing the future and still expecting everything he's enslaving to still be the same... then it's not a bad read so far if you enjoy the typical Chinese tropes.
This is a beautiful start to a fascinating take on Harry Potter. It's well written and the characters are developed incredibly well; while also placing them seamlessly into the world of Harry Potter. The small additions and minor tweaks to the world give the story a much more magical feel than you'd find in other stories. Overall, compared with other fan fictions here, this one is amazing. If anything subtracts from the story, it would be that the author was too good. Usually this isn't much of an issue in stories like this because the author doesn't manage to draw their reader enough into their story. From a literary standpoint, the beginning of the story was harsh. The tone and mood was drastic to say the least. You started with an overall comedic and easy flowing overtone, building a relationship between two childhood friends; and then suddenly twisted it to an overall disgust. The writing and ploy was excellent, however it only resulted in creating negative emotions for a reader. Was it a good plot device that separated the two friends, while also displaying his seer abilities and magical prowess? Yep. Did it also turn off and leave a negative feeling for the reader at the very beginning of the story? Yep again. Again, usually this isn't something that matters in works like this because the author isn't a good author. But in this case, Id really recommend thinking about tone and mood, especially at the very beginning of a story. Still, a diamond of a story. Hope to see it advance into a full one.
there's a special place in hell for authors like this.
