True. Heck, all countries are guilty of this act but not as severe as the Chinese did. Although one cannot deny the benefit if this method became successful
Which is actually true. Asian monarchy is more engraved in tradition compared to its Western counterparts. With the monarchy being deeply connected with local religion as descendants of a god or personally chosen by god, Japan and Thailand for example. With cultural obedience to superiors, the Qing Dynasty would be a great example for this one and the Tang Dynasty.
Yeah that is what I observed also. The diplomatic route is really impossible to pull especially if we go by historical aspect as the Sultanate of Brunei and Sulu were powerful maritime nation, not to mention that Sulu were under the Song Dynasty's umbrella. Even the Rajahnate of Butuan is not an easy target in pre-Spanish era due to its vast lands and control on Surigao strait for controlling the Limasawa Island. It really does based on the clips I have seen so far. Yeah, alternate history is something that should be explore in the Philippines not just about the common genres. But I am hoping that 'The Kingdom' will not fall victim on Philippine generic production and meh storyboard. I hope they will be able to adapt something from alternate history films of S. Korea, Japan, and even Thailand. Not to mention European alternate history films.
I haven't watch the trailer but saw clips about it. And man, it was cool though but I am questioning on despite not being conquered by any European power. The country there appears to be not as progressive as what I have imagine it could be, much like Japan. But overall, it was good take and I just hope that this type of genre will be explored more as alternate reality is really entertaining.
Thanks man. It is just ai generated though
