I think it's a bad decision for the protagonist to be a millionaire. The idea is for the public to feel empathy for him losing the championship, but when that's compared to the fact that he's already the top 0.1% successful in the world, the sadness of his basketball feels like it's someone complaining with a full belly.
I genuinely hope Fujin doesn't change, he remains the cowardly sociopath he is in this chapter for the rest of his life. I hope he survives to old age and dies in a bed alone, realizing how empty his existence was by surviving by abandoning all his bonds out of sheer cowardice.
Author 2 chapters ago: the characters will end because I don't want to force them. Author now: The characters aren't going to stick together, because no. Heck, there's nothing wrong with wanting to decide how things play out in your story, but don't keep making excuses.
Well... That's exactly why he calls them "fake heroes", none of them have really heroic character (on the level of those expected of superheroes). And about the physically impossible feats, if you flip through any comics you can easily find a dozen explanations/powers to which these kinds of feats have been attributed.
I believe it was in the previous chapter, but as I only remembered now I will comment right here: It's disturbing how Fujin simply accepts and even sometimes mocks the impending death of Mieko (someone with whom he has built bonds for just over a year)
