This a refreshing take on the cultivation genre, I rarely read anything related to cultivation after starting to read novels in general, but thanks to VeganMaster's fanfics I gave it an honest attempt. I was surprised to find something this good in a genre I seldomly browse thanks to the thousands upon thousands of different ways of face slapping due to a jade beauty friend. Comedy is this novel's bread-and-butter, and it is achieving it through actual funny dialogue, situations, and the overall plot thus far. And the fact that the action is written well and the MC isn't really unbeatable even with his "cheat" in the form of something he achieved in a past life makes it even better. The world-building so far is promising and I am looking forward to a long journey following this novel. My only annoyance thus far is that each chapter feels super short, but considering it's free and has a lot packed in said chapters without drawing things out to go on and on for dozens of them is a bonus that makes up for it. Great one VeganMaster, looking forward to more :)
... the blade repairs itself by absorbing blood, what the shit is this? xD
I will have to admit... I do not see the appeal that the rating indicates. From chapter 1 to where I couldn't force myself to expect a change (To chapter 20) Everything that happens is just a simple "React" point of view of a few important characters, that follows "Luke's" story after the fall of the Jedi. They are all watching a holo about the movies, and react with brief retorts and outrage/surprise at times. There is no suspense, no driving point, and no plot, except that we need to continue having our literal Star Wars marathon to find out and potentially prevent the Jedi's fall. -Overall summary: It is bland, most readers have already watched the movies, so why do everything on repeat just to show a few boring points of view regarding a few characters without any real consequence? Its 4.81 rating baited me into wasting my time, and if you do have the same impression as I do in response to what I wrote thus far... Avoid this.
Is this simply going to be a literal retelling of the story with the reaction side of the cast? Like, hell how did you get this high rating on this fic when all that happens is : "Oh, no, I will give my impression about this and feel sorry about it for a period of time, joke about it, and keep watching." ... And you expect people to pay you on patreon for a maximum of 300 words per chapter of dialogue between characters reactions, what the shit my dude.
Fuckin snorted out my drink at "Non-humans" hahaha
Yeah, that is exactly why you write literal content in bulk before the initial release, filling out a word count that enables reviews for less than 10k words is counterproductive for both reader and writer in the long run due to the impression given and bot-like reviews left behind to mislead readers.
I enjoy this and your Pokemon fic a lot, but lately it seems that whatever plot had been going on was put on a literal hiatus while fillers are playing out nearly at the same level as the Naruto series itself. There has been what? 120 chapters with the MC just experimenting and being so overpowered, then all of a sudden, everything gets nullified due to a single character that literally can't hold a finger pointed in the MC's direction, then suddenly manages to pass by his senses and inject random stuff into said MC... and from what I am seeing, he's even getting more overpowered in the coming chapters, but for what reason? To sit around and chill? This isn't criticism, this is honestly just me asking where you are going with this logic and slice-of-life approach, as any sense of direction and substance seems to deteriorate quite rapidly lately.
Not to be that guy... but, that is exactly what the overall plot and world revolves around... lust and female assets, denying the statement that "porn does not need to contain porn" is quite the way to shoot yourself in the leg when it comes to DxD. However, I must admit that your overall plot is unique, and I read the first 20 chapters before realizing it was not for me. :)
Love the direction you are taking with this fic, looking forward to each and every chapter when I see them arrive :)
Its a breath of fresh air tbh, better than having a coping MC for the entirety of the entire fic trying to comprehend the fact he cannot return. Though I will admit, this guy has to be part monk to accept reality so quickly.
