a terrible read. the mc went through sh** and is too dumb and pathetic to get a personality development. he got betrayed by his friends, allies and his wife. and what does he do? A whole bunch of nothing. he acts like the same wimpy pathetic moron as he did before he got betrayed. he apologises for everything all the time for no reason. he even apologises for things he has no control over like a pathetic wimp. he keeps shouting nonsense about making friends and stuff even though he literally just got betrayed by everyone he trusted. no intelligence with this mc whatsoever.

terrible romance in a novel without a romance tag. dumb move. the romance is very childish and the mc has a very childishly possessive attitude toward the girls he collects. he's a simp, even for female enemies. terrible and cringe novel overall. I'm too tired to make a more detailed review atm.

I didn't make it very far, around 10-15 chapters in I think? it's baaaad. the grammar and spelling are atrocious. the characters' personalities feel so over-dramatised and are bland like cardboard. and the mc doesn't give villain vibes, more like antihero.

you want an intelligent MC? don't read this. you want an mc with backbone? don't read this. you want an mc who doesn't simp? don't read this. basically what I'm saying is that if you aren't a wimp then you won't like this novel.

I DO think the story is worth it, and the synopsis of the novel sounded interesting, but all these infodumps are becoming too confusing to the point where I feel that if I keep reading I won't be able to understand the story itself since I couldn't be bothered to read the info dumps.

I'm dropping the novel here, because the amount of infodumps killed my interest for the novel, the fact that this shows the POV of other people more than the mc just made it worse.

chapter after chapter of infodumps, this is stupid. to entice readers to keep reading you need to first show the promise of a good story, bombarding your readers with infodump after infodump before the story even gets a chance to start was a dumb move. I would suggest rewriting the early chapters. at this point, I'm skipping through paragraph after paragraph and I don't even feel like I'm missing something relevant.

this novel seems very promising, I'm adding this to my library. one question though, you said it's no romance and no harem which is a big thumbs up in my opinion, but will the mc have s*xual relations at all? maybe s*x slaves or something?

I read until chapter 10, and thats when I had to drop. it's clear that this novel follows the trope of an MC who's reborn as a baby. that in itself wouldn't be an issue if there had been a couple of chapters of him being a baby before getting a timeskip until he's a teen or something. but no, this is the story of a grown man being reborn as a baby and has to pretend to be a clueless and stupid kid just so the people around him doesn't suspect him. it's an overused trope that's so utterly boring that watching paint dry would be more entertaining.

I enjoyed the story, at least until the mc was acting overly affectionate towards the female lead, who at the time had the body of a little child. also this novel lacks the romance tag yet there's cringe romance anyway, so yea, it was a good novel until it wasn't.
