Missed The Chance?

They didn't notice but the white lights in their room were kept on. They were busy.

Abir didn't want to miss this chance. His head was replaying the scenes of his first kiss with Zoya. She was his everything.

Amy tightened her legs around Abir's waist. He took her to the table beside the bed. Made her sit there. Heavily breathing, he unknotted her shirt. She unbuttoned his red shirt.

He continued kissing on her neck while she unzipped and opened his jeans. They were literally sucking each other's mouths dry. Followed by him, unzipping her shorts. Everything was going smoothly.

He grabbed her by the butt and sat on the bed. Now Amy on his lap. They were glued on their lips.

Amy paused, gave him a flick on his forehead and he passed out.

The pill did its work.

"I have transacted," Amy told the cashier. She was in her new clothes at the counter to pay the hotel room bills and miscellaneous.

She went back to her room. Abir was asleep. She removed the curtains to let the sunlight enter.

Its gentle rays filter through the window, casting a warm, golden glow across the room. It gradually spreads, it bathes the room in a serene, inviting glow, casting intricate patterns on the floor and furniture. The warmth of the sunlight gently caresses Abir's face, gradually rousing him from slumber. His body was covered with a white blanket.

The first thing he saw was a girl's silhouette.

"Good morning, baby," Amy said.

She went closer and caressed his hair and kissed him on the forehead.

Abir got fresh and wore his previous clothes. He noticed that Amy wore brand new clothes in the morning.

How? When did she bring those?

"Wear these," she threw a bunch of new clothes on the bed and giggled. Abir saw her giggle for the first time.

"What happened last night?" Abir asked. "Did I pass out? Because I don't remember anything. Strange."

"We had fun. Shame that you don't remember. But you seemed to enjoy a lot."

If Amy's is saying so, then they might have enjoyed a lot and made love. Why doesn't he remember anything though?

"How was I so intoxicated?"

Abir went back to the bathroom to change his clothes.

"By the way, when did you get these clothes?"

"Oh, I-I-," she stuttered. "I asked someone to drop these clothes here." She went on, "and also, this club doesn't serve meals so we need to head out for breakfast. They will be having that facility after renovating and expanding the club after a year," Amy said.

Zoya was in her convenience store. Looking gloomy.

"Why, what happened? You look upset," her colleague, Michelle asked.

Michelle had to leave the store, now that it was Zoya's turn. "Nothing. I broke up," she replied.

"With time you will come to know that there is nothing better than moving on," Michelle advised. "Either find somebody else or focus on something other than relationships."

"It is not easy for me."

"I know. I have experienced more heartbreaks than you," five year older than Zoya, Michelle tried to comfort. Michelle was not good at comforting but she at least tried. Then she left the store.

"I don't even have a room to live in now. Why did I leave that one? I also paid the rent," Zoya sulked.

Her belongings were still inside that apartment. But she didn't wanted to go back. What if she faced him there? She had the key.

Zoya forgot to ask Michelle about any place to live. Maybe she could help. Although Zoya didn't have people she could call 'friends', she had to talk to an acquaintance for help.

She texted to Michelle, "do you know any place to stay? I urgently need one."

Michelle figured out that Zoya might have moved out of the apartment. She typed a long message, "yes, I know. My room has two beds. You can live here. I don't have a roommate. Otherwise, I have the apartment owner's contact, I will ask her if any rooms are empty, in case you desire to live alone."

"Thanks. I'll come to your residence in the evening."

"Alright. I will be at home."

Zoya wanted to hurry up things. It had been seventeen hours since she left her previous apartment.

She decided to live with Michelle. She thought it would be beneficial in future.

"When will you bring the things?"

"Now."

"Right now?"

"Yes, I don't have many stuffs."

"You don't need any help?" Michelle asked.

"Not at all. I can manage it myself," said Zoya. She was already hesitant to visit that place, she didn't wanted to add more burden.

Zoya stared up at the fourth floor's balcony from the ground, letting out a sigh.

"It is just seven in the evening, he will not be at home," Zoya thought.

She opened the door. Scanned the room, it's belongings, stickers on walls, from right to left. She went upto the balcony and stared at the sky for some time. How did things turn out this way? She pulled out a huge wheeled suitcase from under the bed.

Packed all her necessities. Scanned the room again before leaving. How many memories they had made here? Should she talk to him once last time? But she didn't have the courage to do so.

Zoya locked the door. She was teary-eyed. She rolled her suitcase upto the elevator and descended.

"That is Abir," Zoya exclaimed.
