Straw

A blood red aura covered Aurav as it seeped into his body. He was too distracted to notice it.

But...

A minute or so later:

Nothing happened as Aurav was still smacking the bat on the ground with rythmatic thumps and the sounds of its wings resounding throughout the air.

'I'm getting nowhere by just smacking this thing...'

Thinking so, he took a bite out of it's wings. He wanted to cripple it's wings so,that it wouldn't be able to fly.

As he chewed on it's flesh its blood flowed into his mouth:

'Wow...'

Aurav hadn't tasted anything like this ever before. Compared to human blood this was a hundred times better. It was bitter as hell stimulating Aurav's taste buds. As he swallowed it felt like jelly.

Even the bat's own flesh couldn't compare to its blood.

He grinned savagely as he started to suck on its wound while he thought:

'I need to get a straw...mmm....wow...'

Tears were streaming down the bat's face as it's blood was being sucked out. It could feel it's demise approaching.

To think a mighty beast would die because of a blood sucking pervert...

A few minutes later Aurav glanced at the bat and saw it's head and wings were drooped helplessly.

The luster in it's eyes crimson eyes nowhere to be seen. It was about to die...

'Ahh...where the hell am I supposed to get blood from now on...?'

'I can't go back to drinking human blood now...' He thought helplessly...

'Wait....If I use <Beast Taming> to tame this thing...won't that mean an endless supply of blood...'

Aurav stopped sucking it's blood to the bat's relief as he activated the <Beast Taming> Skill....

He stared at it's eyes as an odd feeling emerged from his right eye. Green wisps of aura twisted and wrapped around each other as a tiny bat head took form.

An inverted triangle enclosed the bat head. The rune was connected to Aurav's eye by a faint green string. Seeing the mysterious rune the bat head shrieked as it tried to fly up.

The rune started to move towards it's head. The bat shrieked even louder. Every fiber of it's being was telling it to run as far away from this rune as possible.

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as the rune wrapped around it's head. The bat resisted as that blood red aura emerged once again.

The blood red Aura wrapped around the rune resisting it. The rune's advance slowed down as it tried to redistributed the blood red aura. Seeing, this Aurav frowned as he supplied even more energy towards the rune.

The blood red Aura obviously couldn't resist as it slowly disappeared after a minute or so. If it was from a Rank 1 or 2 beast perhaps,it could've resisted but it only belonged to a Rank 0 beast as such it was quickly disposed of.

The rune resumed it's advance towards the bat once again.

The bat had completely given up any format of resistance as it lay there, helplessly. It had depleted all of it's energy.

The run expanded and wrapped around it's head perfectly. The rune bat's eyes were exactly aligned with the real bat's.

Slowly, the rune seeped into it's eyes and gradually, disappeared. Aurav blinked as he furrowed his brows. The blank expression on his face slowly disappeared, replaced by a thoughtful one. He received a string of notifications from the <Game Eye> but he ignored them as he thought:

'What happened???'

As soon as he'd activated the Skill he had been in a trance doing things in a stupor he couldn't explain at all.

"Was it due to the Skill?" Aurav mused as he grabbed his head which was hanging sideways this entire time.

He propped it on his neck and didn't let go.

He wasn't going to let it go until <Regeneration> healed it to a certain extent.

'I shouldn't use the <Beast Taming> Skill in a dangerous situation...'

'It could be fatal if somebody tried to sneak attack me while I'm in the trance...'

<>Pain<>

'Wait,what is this feeling?'

Aurav couldn't point as to what he was feeling. To be honest, it was more like a sensation...

Like a message...

"Message...?"

He looked at the bat and thought:

'Is it this guy???'

He got up and walked towards it. The bat looked up at him and shrieked loudly:

<>Master <>

<>Good<>

Aurav could somehow sense it's thoughts. Right now, they were only primitive but Aurav would buy a few <Functions> for it once he got enough funds.

<>Pain<>

<>Hurts<>

It's blood had covered half of the street by now, not to mention the amount Aurav himself drank.

"What do I do now???"

He didn't have enough funds as he had bought <Flesh Root> for Saira. It could possibly save the bat providing, a massive boost to his combat capabilities if he used it on the bat.

The bat's potential was endless compared to Saira who was already dead.

'There's no point in saving her...she's dead already and it hasn't even been a week since the start of the apocalypse...'

'If it wasn't for me she wouldn't even be alive...'

'I don't owe her anything...'
