The massive valley was almost filled up by a massive army of zodiac knights. Well... these new recruits weren't exactly full fledged Zodiac knights, they had only been Zodiac knights for about two days or so, but come on, still Zodiac knights.

Since they managed to pass the knight entrance examinations, the fate of the sodarian empire was now resting on them.

A heavily built man stood in front of the new knights, his expression was stern as he addressed them. The man suddenly started walking, when he came to a fat boy, he stopped.

Why did you join the zodiac knights!?

The fat boy was taken aback and certainy didn't expect this, he didn't know when he shut his eyes tightly and shouted.

F..food! I joined so I could eat more food!!

no one expected this, even the captain who had seen a lot of ridiculous things since he joinedthe zodiac knights really didn't expect this.

The captain was first surprised, then he suddenly laughed mirthfully.

Hahahhaaaa! I guess I can't do anything about that... a conviction is still a conviction, silly! do your best!

The crowd of new zodiac knights couldn't help but giggle at this silly young boy. The boy had a lot of cheeks, he really did.

After a few minutes, the captain released them and they headed for their respecive camps.

Tega sighed heavily as he walked towards his own camp. I hope I'm in the right place, those beasts must die...

Tega could still remember it very clearly, the death of his adoptive parents. Tega was desperately trying not to start thinking about it again, but as he had people whispering about him, he couldn't help but start thinking about it all over again.

As Tega walked past a group of people talking, they shifted their discssion to him. Hey..isn't that the hybrid boy?

I heard that his parents were killed about two weeks ago, they were sentenced with the scarlet judgement.

I can't be so sure...but i know that they found a baby at the edge of the dome and they adopted the baby.

woahh...that story sure checks out...else, how can you explain the existence of a hybrid in this present time? I mean, the humans have been living alone without any other race for at least eight hundred years now.

They didn't evolve, dumb. they are created out of our negative emotions, the dark energy that was leaked during the sealing of the demons turns our negative emotions into beasts. the beasts also possess our bloodline ability, even evolving it an making it way stronger than ours. on rare occassions, two negative emotions create one beast, such beast will possess two bloodline abilities and they are known as special grades. When three negative emtions form a single beast, the beast will possess three bloodline abilities and is known as special grade.

I heard that the researchers recently discovered the trails of another type of beast...

The divine grade.

Divine grade? I don't get it. I thought the divine race was the strongest of all races, they were so powerful that they dominated everything, no other race had a chance to even develop properly, not even the demon race or the dragon race. but the Divine race fought a great war among themselves and used their sacred treasure in the war, their sacred treasure was too powerful and no one could bear it's wrath. unfortunately for them, their entire race went exstinct, even before the new era war.

The boy that spoke previously shook his head. I didn't say divine race, I said divine grade. Divine grades are special grades that consume sacred treasures...

I though sacred treasures weren't eatable?

They aren't. these beasts just have to swallow it, but it won't digest.
