Set in an ancient time wherein prestige and power are everything, Prince Zen Lykus, born from a lowly Imperial concubine from the southern tribe, is destined to die at the hands of the empress of the Lykus Empire. To avoid his death and his mother's, the third prince decides to portray the image of a retard to dodge the power struggle within the Imperial Court. Prince Zen is doing great until he meets his consort, Theta Mariyah, the tribute from the Kingdom of Amina. Fierce and cunning, his beloved wife treats him like a child - making him wish to show her his dominant and possessive self. Prince Zen's resolve will be tested as he struggles to maintain his façade of being his cunning wife's 'retarded' husband. Deceiving everyone around him is one thing, but lying to his fierce wife is a death sentence. Follow the lovely yet complex couple as they struggle to survive within the turbulent Imperial Court. - - - - You can find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IceFontana18Official The book cover belongs to me since I let an artist draw it. Theta had walked for many hours, perhaps a day already. Still, she could not see any shadow of life forms! Though the skies were bright, she could not see the sun. Gone was the thick fog, replaced by vast grassland.
The feeling of the grass under her feet, tickling her ankles and toes despite the presence of her thin and worn-out shoes her mother had gifted her a year ago.
"Spatial lock."
Time and space distorted, confirming her doubts. She could still use her magic, but it was not a hundred percent compared when she was outside the Inheritance. It was as if there was something restraining her, just like what happened when she entered the vortex.
Boom!
"Aaah! Help!"
"Stay back, Erina! Stop making things worse!"
"No! Aah! I don't want to die! Somebody! Please, help me!"
Theta's ears twitched.
