Contracting The Netherworld Phoenix

What was once a gigantic silver-feathered Phoenix glowed suddenly, eroding Theta Mariyah's vision for a good moment especially since she was the closest one to it. When the gleam finally subsided, Theta had a hard time adjusting her line of vision.
Though blurry, Theta Mariyah was sure that the Netherworld Phoenix, which seemed to occupy half of the area, suddenly vanished!
'Did it leave me already?' Theta Mariyah was frantic as she looked in Ruka and Zarno's direction.
But contrary to what she expected, Ruka did not appease her nor did Zarno attack the Phoenix. Slowly, Theta Mariyah's fear-stricken gaze turned to a big question mark.
It was at this moment that Theta Mariyah heard a series of tiny flapping sound behind her. Compelled to turn around, Theta's jaws hit the ground comically when her amethyst orbs met a familiar onyx-like one.
