Sindbad, recognizing the danger, worked to make as many people and objects between him and Jaber. That is, they were standing on opposite sides of the table while the others circled it, Sindbad ready to bolt in a heartbeat while Jaber followed him with attentive eyes not to give him the chance to escape.
Zarqa looked from one to the other and then to Jafar who fiddled around with his fingers and shrunk away from Jaber's side, expecting the man's anger to befall him next.
" It's as I said," Sindbad tried to defend. " It's not the most helpful lead."
" Putting aside whether it was helpful or not! Does that even count as a lead?! You damn idiot!"
" How should I know?" Sindbad threw his hands up in frustration. " I literary just heard of it a few minutes ago!"
