Chapter twenty one

"Okay, Zoey, as long as you didn't kill someone, it's gonna be okay" Anna says.

"But what if I did kill someone?"

"Then we better go get Mike" Anna says, referring to her boyfriend who was a lawyer in a small law firm.

"But you didn't really kill someone?....right?" She asks again.

"No Anna, I don't know.... I....i slept with Zach Lee!" I say as the words rushed out of my mouth.

"What the hell are you spouting? Did you go drinking without me?" Anna asks as confusion laced her voice.

"No, I mean, I really did sleep with Zach Lee, last night, after you left the bar, I met him" I explain and she goes quiet for a few seconds.

"Okay...if that really did happen, why are you calling me now? Is there something else I should know?" Anna asks slowly.

"Anna, he's rich, like super rich!....if and I'm saying if because God knows I might just die if it really happens, but what if I get pregnant?" I say.

"You didn't use protection?"

"I didn't think it was necessary at the time" I say but soon realized how stupid the words sounded after they escaped my mouth, I groan inwardly and almost face slapped myself.

"That's just stupid" Anna says

"I know Anna... I know"

"You could've gotten pregnant even if it was someone else, hell...any man with a working manhood can get you pregnant, and 'Zach Lee' also thought it was cool to sleep with someone without protection?" She says and with the way she drags Zach's name, I knew she didn't believe me.

"Anna, we were both carried away and I admit we were careless with our actions but blame isn't going to help me right now" I say, feeling a little helpless.

"I still don't understand why you're panicking, I mean there's a chance you might not get pregnant and this happened last night so you can still get contraceptives" Anna says and I finally realized how stupid my actions have been ever since I met Zach.

"Right...I forgot about that. But I can't get contraceptives now, I'm a little busy right now, I can't leave this place now" I say as I heard the restroom door open and then close.

"Oh, okay. Then get your assistant to bring you the pills" Anna says

"Never. I can't do that, I'll just wait and get them after I leave here"

"Alright then, text me when you're done with work. You should come over later, we have a LOT to talk about" Anna says and hangs up.
