Courting Alexis

In gym class, the students were playing tennis. Alexis Rhodes and Jozuna were playing against Jasmine and Mindy. Mindy taunted Jozuna "Jozuna, watch where you're aiming! You almost took out the net with that wild shot." 

Jozuna just gritting his teeth. "Just focus on your own game, Mindy."

Alexis was trying to stay calm. "Let's just keep playing, guys. We'll show them what we're made of."

As the game continues, Jozuna gets increasingly frustrated with Jasmine and Mindy's taunting. Determined to prove himself, he winds up for a powerful shot. But instead of hitting the ball cleanly, he accidentally spikes it too hard, sending it soaring through the air.]

"Oh no!"

"Watch out!"

The ball flies towards the adjacent court where Seika Kohinata, a female Obelisk Blue student, is playing. She turns just in time to see the ball hurtling towards her.Top of Form

He yells for her to watch out, and the ball is intercepted by someone else, and ends up hitting Prof. Crowler in the face.

Ms. Fontaine emerged from the infirmary, a sympathetic expression on her face as she approached Jozuna. "Jozuna, I'm sorry, but Dr. Crowler insists that you deliberately aimed for him with the tennis ball."

Jozuna said "I never intended for anyone to get hurt."

Ms. Fontaine calmed him "I know, I saw the whole thing. But Prof. Crowler refuses to listen to reason. He's decided to punish you by making you join the Academy's tennis club for a day. I'll try to talk to Prof. Crowler again, but for now, you'll have to accept the punishment. Just try to make the best of it, Jozuna."

Jozuna muttered in his heart. "Crowler's conspiracy again. a free point"

Jasmine came to Alexis "Hey, Alexis. Mindy and I couldn't help but overhear what happened with Jozuna and the tennis ball incident.

Mindy added" Yeah, it was quite the spectacle. And guess who ended up intercepting the ball? None other than Harrington Rosewood"

Alexis asked " Harrington Rosewood? Why would he get involved?"

Jasmine teased her "Well, let's just say he's had his eye on you for a while now. he is the heir to his family's company. He is rumored to be as good a Duelist as Zane Truesdale. He's been practically stalking you since you first arrived at the Academy. How about you date him? Let us just be with Jozuna"

Alexis said "That's... unsettling. I had no idea he was so fixated on me"

Jasmine said " Anyway, about Jozuna... we heard he's been punished by Prof. Crowler."

Mindy added "Yeah, he's been sentenced to a day of tennis lessons with none other than Harrington himself. Talk about adding insult to injury"

Alexis said "That's not fair. Jozuna didn't mean for any of this to happen."

Jasmine asked her "Tell that to Prof. Crowler. He's convinced that Jozuna deliberately aimed for him."

Mindy added "Ms. Fontaine tried to defend him, but Prof Crowler wouldn't listen."

Alexis took a pity for Jozuna "Poor Jozuna. I'll have to go talk to him and see if there's anything I can do to help."

As Alexis approached the tennis courts, she could feel Harrington's eyes on her, his smug demeanor already assuming her presence was for him. She ignored his gaze, her focus solely on finding Jozuna and discussing the recent revelation about Chazz Princeton.

Spotting Jozuna standing awkwardly near the courts, Alexis hurried over to him, her expression serious.

Alexis told him about what had happened before she went here"Jozuna, I just spoke with Professor Banner. Chancellor Foster recently spotted Chazz Princeton"

Jozuna's eyes widened in surprise at the news. Chazz Princeton, he will go to another academy just like the original plot.

Harrington approaced Alexis and said "Ah, Alexis, I see you've come to see me after all. And who's this? Your new friend?"

Alexis shot Harrington a cold glare, her patience wearing thin.

Alexis said angrily "We're here to discuss something important. It doesn't concern you, Harrington."

Harrington's expression soured at being dismissed, but his frustration quickly turned into an opportunity to assert his dominance.

Harrington mocked and challenge Jozuna "Well, how about we settle this with a Duel? You versus me, Jozuna. And the winner gets the honor of being Alexis' fiancée"

Alexis's eyes widened in shock at Harrington's audacious proposal, but before she could protest, Jozuna spoke up.

Jozuna responded "I never back down from a challenge. I accept"

Alexis's heart sank as she watched Jozuna agree to Harrington's terms. She contemplated leaving, not wanting to be a part of this absurd contest, but her curiosity got the better of her. She wanted to see if the rumors about Harrington's skill as a Duelist were true, if he truly could rival the likes of Zane Truesdale.

With a heavy sigh, Alexis stayed, silently praying that Jozuna would emerge victorious and that this ridiculous ordeal would finally come to an end.
