Today was the big day, the one where Duel Academy Island throws down a festival in honor of Duel Monster Spirit Day.

The food is mid. It's mainly whipped up by students who are just in the cooking club or doing it as a hobby.

I have seen a lot of people cosplay, and let me tell you, apart from my wife and me, whoever's in that Kuriboh cosplay is absolutely nailing it. Giant furball 💀. Everyone else is just garbage.

"Hey, Gojo! It's been ages!" Jasmine and Mindy strolled through the festival, taking in all the sights and sounds. Of course, they couldn't resist sneaking glances at the attractive and rich folks, always on the lookout for some drama or a chance encounter.

And just like that, they locked eyes on me. As Jasmine and Mindy approached me with their mischievous grins, I couldn't help but want to get away from those two. Even though they are cute, the trouble is not worth it. I called them out, "Well, if it isn't the useless duo 1 and 2! What's good?"

"Oh my god. You are still calling people that?" Mindy sighed. Despite her protest, there was a hint of amusement in her eyes.

Jasmine, however, had grown accustomed to my unique way of addressing people and replied, "Oh, the usual. Savoring the festival treats, admiring the eye candy."

Mindy added, "Speaking of which, Gojo, have you seen any other standout cosplays around here? We're on the hunt for some epic ones. We're also planning to cosplay as a trio with Alexis as Harpies Lady Sisters."

"Ah, that sounds like fun," I said, nodding. "Speaking of cosplay, my wife and I are also cosplaying."

Their eyes widened in surprise, and they exchanged puzzled glances before Jasmine finally mustered the words, "Wait, you're married? That rumor is actually true?" 'I didn't think that was true.' Jasmine internally thought.

Shaking my head. "Rumors, huh? Well, they got this one right. Yeah, I have a wife."

Mindy recovered from her initial shock and smiled warmly, "That's awesome, Gojo! We had no idea. What are you two cosplaying as?"

With a grin, I revealed, "I'm going as an android, and she's going as THE Dark Magician Girl. We thought it'd be fitting for the theme. You'll be seeing her very soon."

Their surprise was quickly replaced by excitement as they contemplated the unique choice. Jasmine nodded approvingly. "That's going to be a showstopper for sure. We can't wait to see your cosplay in action!"

The festival will unfold for over two days, one of the most highly anticipated events was the costume duels that will be held outside of the Red Dormitory.  Unlike the other festival locations that were already bustling with activity, this particular venue was still in the process of being built and set up.

Currently at the Slifer dorm.

The group consisting of Bastion, Zane, Jaden, Atticus, and Alexis had gathered by the Slifer dormitory building on the rails. They were deep in conversation, brooding over Professor Banner and the potential threats he posed.

Meanwhile, Syrus and Chumley were having a blast setting up a colorful advertisement board featuring the iconic Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, drawing the attention of curious onlookers and fellow festival-goers.

Outside, Chazz Princeton was on a mission of his own. He had taken it upon himself to search for Professor Banner's cat, hoping that he could use it as a lure to find Banner or uncover clues about his whereabouts.

After the entire setup was completed, a significant crowd of people began to gather in anticipation of the exciting duels that awaited them.

It was my first time attending a Japanese cultural festival with the version of a school, and I remember being genuinely amazed by the whole concept when I first heard about it. Cultural festivals are, at least to me, something you would only hear about or see in slice-of-life anime or manga.

Dark Magician Girl, her eyes shining with excitement, had wholeheartedly proposed the idea of meeting at the costume duel arena to bask in the festival's atmosphere together.

I understand her excitement. When I was getting ready in my costume, my wife materialized beside me. Together, we made my fake boobs work so I can wear my costume. Once we were both satisfied with my costume, we headed to the Red Dormitory, where the atmosphere was already buzzing with activity.

Before we reached our destination, Dark Magician Girl couldn't help but burst into laughter, finding the process of setting up fake boobs hilarious.

As we walked, people began to notice us, and a hushed murmur of whispers filled the air.

'Is that Gojo?' 'No way.' 'Dark Magician Girl?' 'What is Gojo dressed up as and why is he dressing up as a girl?'  People were mumbling and murmuring.

When I heard that, I immediately decided to intimidate them. I unsheathe my katana and lightly swung it, creating crevices beneath the floor that sent shockwaves through the vacant area.

The reactions that followed were nothing short of priceless. Startled gasps, wide-eyed expressions, and even a few people who couldn't contain their surprise. Some even reacted in such a way that they peed their pants and began trembling.

"It always ends this way." I muttered monotone, playing pretend as the character 2B, delivering one of her melancholic lines.

My wife, clearly enjoying the playful atmosphere, couldn't resist a teasing question as she nestled against my arm, her hand playfully exploring the padded fake boobs of my costume.

"Husband, what are you supposed to be?" She asked with a smug grin, relishing the attention and cheers from the onlookers.

Staying in character, I responded with the same monotone tone, "I am YoRHa No. 2 Type B." As I performed a katana acrobatic swing and then sheathed it, enthusiastic whistles and cheers from some bystanders filled the air.

Indeed, we were attracting all eyes. The genuine Dark Magician Girl and a mysterious Gojo-inspired cosplayer made us the center of attention. No, it was more like we were unintentionally demanding attention.

With a playful kiss on my cheek, Dark Magician Girl temporarily left my side to approach Jaden and the others wanting to have fun.

By the time I reached their group, the atmosphere was already buzzing with anticipation and excitement.

"Is that… Gojo?" Jaden hesitantly asked as he finished conversing with Dark Magician Girl about a duel.

"I'm afraid so," Zane replied with an incredulous tone and a twitching eye. He recognized me by the distinctive rings on my fingers and actions.

"Right..." Mindy, Jasmine, and Alexis couldn't tear their eyes away from me and my unexpected wife who looks like the genuine Dark Magician Girl, two unconventional cosplayers.

"You know, when Gojo said he was cosplaying as an android, I was expecting something else entirely," Jasmine muttered with a bemused expression.

"That's what I thought too. How is he looking like that despite being a man?" Mindy added, shaking her head in disbelief, clearly amazed by the transformation.

"Holy crap. Now whoever is cosplaying Dark Magician Girl looks like the real one!" Syrus who was captivated by her.

"Hey! That's Gojo's wife, isn't it!" Atticus exclaimed, connecting the dots with a surprised expression.

"Say what?" Chazz and Syrus reacted with shock; his eyes fixed on her.

"Yeah, she's got that same ring as Gojo, and she just kissed him!" Atticus pointed out, confirming their suspicions.

"Weird, how he's dressing up as a girl. You think it's some character we know?" Jaden pondered, trying to guess the identity behind my cosplay.

"You uncultured pieces of shit. I can hear you from here!" I retorted as I quickly skidded my way through the crowd towards their group.

"Care to explain? What are you cosplaying as?" Alexis inquired, genuinely intrigued.

"Well, I am cosplaying as 2B. Nice costumes Alexis, didn't you know you three were into fury." I replied with a mischievous grin, fully aware that my response would likely be taken with confusion as people of this world wouldn't understand.

Snap, snap. Atticus wasted no time snapping photos of our attention-grabbing cosplay, all the while skillfully avoiding incurring Alexis's wrath.

"Well, I think Gojo nailed the cosplay, even though he's dressed as a woman," Bastion chimed in with his opinion. Alexies, Mindy and Jasmine nodded in agreement.

"Thanks for the compliment, Bastard and Useless." I replied.

My wife's excitement was undeniable as she looked at my 'friends'.

I turned my head to give my wife the chance to introduce herself, and she eagerly seized the opportunity.

"Heya~ I'm this guy's beloved wife. You can just refer to me as Dark Magician Girl, or Ms. Gojo~" she chirped with infectious enthusiasm, while pointing at me, capturing the attention of all the onlookers and spectators gathered around us.

'How the fuck did this guy end up with a woman like her?' Was the unspoken question running through everyone's minds.

As some of the bystanders bombarded her with a barrage of questions about her history, her backstory, and how we met, I couldn't help but intervene with a hint of demand in my tone.

"Shut up," I declared firmly. "Don't ask anything private about us."

With a teasing smile, she added, "Sorry, boys, my husband is quite demanding~"

But, of course, there were always a couple of troublemakers in the group. Jasmine and Mindy couldn't resist throwing in a cheeky question.

"How long in bed!?" they both asked with mischievous grins.

"VERY LONG!~" She immediately answered with a playful blush, cupping both her cheeks and adding a teasing foot tap to her response. The unexpected and cheeky exchange left everyone, especially the girls, with jaws dropped and blushing cheeks.

The guys didn't say anything, likely because I was also dressed in an attractive cosplay that rivaled Dark Magician Girl's charm. No homo.

As I noticed the boys glancing at me with a hint of envy, I couldn't help but huff in response. They had absolutely no fucking idea about what she does in bed.

"I heard you were looking for a duel, Jaden~ How about I challenge you?" Dark Magician Girl smiled as she activated her duel disk, ready for a showdown.

"Oh, okay then. Good luck Ms.Gojo!" Jaden excitedly said while all fired up. He quickly took off his costume since he couldn't duel while wearing it, and then he activated his duel disk.

"Thanks. You too!" Dark Magician Girl replied with a smile as she got into her dueling position, ready for the match to begin.

Syrus and Chazz (with his weird giant ass fusion cosplay) took on the role of commentators as the duel commenced. Onlookers quickly gathered to witness the epic duel, drawn in by the anticipation and the presence of a student who resembled the iconic Dark Magician Girl.

"Wow, what student is that? I think I'm in love. She looks just like her. Dark Magician Girl!" The crowd of students was captivated by her striking resemblance and popularity as a beloved Duel Monsters character. Crowler could already be seen on the sidelines, cheering for Dark Magician Girl with enthusiasm.
