Viktor passes through the mayor's office and told his companions that he would be leaving for a day or two.
After Jessie talked to the mayor and the mayor confirmed that Viktor was going to help the town, the mayor arranged for his companions to be released from their cell. Not only that, but they were also given an empty house to stay in.
They were initially elated with the turn of events, but their happiness soon turned to worry when they learned that Viktor had to go.
