Schooled Two Times In One Day

[August 3, Mount Justice]

I had awoke from my sleep when I looked at my phone and saw that I got a text from Artemis saying she wanted to join the team I looked and thought 'alright well I could just let it go as cannon but some things are already not as cannon if Sportsmaster bringing Cheshire if anything goes so I will just ask Batman if she can join through a test of sorts for her mainly the Amazo episode.

So once I did my morning rituals I talked to Batman to see if Artemis can join the team which he was ver skeptical of why I wanted her on the team which took a lot of negations and some threats from me and Batman but ultimately he said yes and would pay her a visit once she would make contact when I would call for her.

After that talk with Batman things went along like with the show without Superboy getting angry with everyone after his trip to Metropolis and now to the training with Black Canary with Wally getting dumped on his ass with him trying to flirt with Black Canary when she called on me to spar.

"Now I know what you are capable of so I can be safe to say that I can go all out on you huh" she smiles at me and I smile back saying to her "Yeah bring it on Canary" after that the match started with her hitting me with flurry of attacks that looked like she was just dancing which I either blocked or dodged and weaved out of but I noticed an opening in her attacks and I took it hitting her with a kick to the chest and getting in a flurry of my own attacks that left everyone stunned I was getting shots in on Canary as I was about to land the last attack Batman came through to tell us about the Amazo mission.

As we got our orders and was about to head out Black Canary stopped me and told me "So once you get back lets spar again I want my rematch Cap" I smirked back at her and said "Anytime Canary"

[Litcheield Country]

As we were now sitting there on our motorcycles the Justice League got us for this mission I decided to do a few upgrades to mine with putting Jarvis into the bike making it essential my bike now which the others just looked in awe of what I just did but paid no mind as everything I did was normal.

Once Batman gave the go ahead we all left to protect our trucks with my team being Robin and Superboy with Aqualad having Miss Martian and Kid Flash.

With me Superboy and Robin we started to have a conversation before the storm that was about to brew.

Robin:"So I was talking with Batman and he says that I should be wary of you Cap why is that"

Captain America:"Oh well let's say I strong armed him to let someone in on our team of covert heroes"

Robin:"Really you strong armed the Batman"

Superboy:"Yeah I got to say you are a person I wouldn't think to strong arm the Dark Knight"

Captain America:"Well I am full of surprises boys"

Robin:"So who is this new member of the team"

Captain America:"Can't tell you but this person is an archer"

Robin:"Wait an archer wait is it Speedy by any chance

Superboy:"Thought you said you would let Speedy make his own choices"

Captain America:"No it is not Speedy it is someone else entirely this person is getting their test today actually"

Robin:"Oh okay"

After our conversation with Robin being a little sad that Speedy wouldn't be joining us I got a call from Aqualad's team saying that there were monkey's on there truck and not soon after there were monkey's on our truck now as well which prompted Superboy to say "I hate monkey's"

Once the monkey's showed up all of the team sprang to action with Superboy jumping onto the truck leaving his bike and prompted Robin to follow suit but putting his bike in battle mode which left me with taping my watch to deploy my she out and taping on my chest to put on my Captain America suit of (Think of when Black panther puts on his suit in the MCU) as I pulled out all of my equipment I speak to Jarvis once I pulled my bike helmet of and put my Cap helmet on saying to Jarvis "Hey pull me up next to the truck and go into battle mode and take these monkey's out" and Jarvis then states "Acknowledge Mr.Rogers it will be done"

After I gave Jarvis his orders I get up on the truck with Superboy and Robin back to back and I say "Let's go to work boys" and we start smashing each and every single robot monkey in sight at one point I threw my shield at a couple of them which prompted Superboy to catch it and start smashing some with it before he threw right back my way until the robot monkey's blew out the tires making the truck tip over making me and Superboy fall off leaving Robin to get the driver out to safety.

After me and Superboy's fall the robot monkey's fly out with the Amazo parts which Superboy was angry about but before he could go off on his own I told him "Hey don't go off angry I have a plan but first" I pause putting my hands to my earpiece wanting to know what happened to Aqualad and his truck which he said the the robot monkey's took the parts so I turn back to Superboy and Robin and tell the rest of the team through my earpiece "Okay so here is the plan I see one of the robot monkey's haven't gotten that far away from us so Superboy will intercept while he throws my shield at the robots that will ricochet off of them which will drop the part making only one more part left to go."

After they heard the plan Kid Flash spoke up saying "Hey but what about the second parts what are we gonna do about those Cap" I looked at where the robots were heading and told all of them "Don't worry about the second there will be someone there that I want you to meet they should be on a train waiting for the second parts of Amazo to arrive" the other on the other line were confused while Superboy and Robin knew who I was talking about until I cut there thoughts with my next orders to Superboy with him taking my shield and leaping off when my new bike with Robin's bike close behind moving to Superboy's position.

Once we got to Superboy's position he had go the parts and handed me back my shield with him say to me "I really need to get one of those" and I immediately stop that train of thought for him I said "Nope you have you fists and I have my shield no way Suppy" which he just shrugs with the rest of the team heading to the train I put on the map for our regroup with our new teammate which me, Superboy, and Robin head off to.

As we got to our destination we could see a lot of robots and smoke which immediately I thought did Ivo get Amazo operational without getting the rest of the parts but my fear was unwarranted when out of the smoke I see the rest of the team with the newest member Artemis I had a smile on my face and without missing a beat I said "So you can see that this is our new teammate Artemis she is our new archer" once I said that there were mixed reactions of sadness, anger, and happiness between the members of the team but they didn't voice until Artemis spoke up saying to everyone "I look forward to working with you all even Kid mouth over here" knowing that this was gonna get an argument going I decided that since the parts are safe and we captured Ivo our work was done until Artemis pulled me aside to talk before we left.

"So Batman says that you might know everything about me and why you wanted me on your team" I shook my head and said to her "Yeah I do know everything about that you sister is Cheshire your father Sportsmaster and your mother a former criminal but not anymore but I will not tell anyone that is your secret to tell the rest of the team not mine" after I said the she sighed in relief and said to me "You know keep that smooth talk up and I might just fall for you" she said it teasingly but not wanting to be out done I said "Well I do aim to please more ways then one Artemis" which makes her blush and turns around and tells me "Yeah whatever just let's go idiot leader" and I say as we leave to tease her evermore "As you wish lady Artemis" leaving her in a bigger blushing mess.

After that we get to mount justice to report leading in a well done job but before we left Wally asked out loud "WHY DO WE NEED HER AS OUR ARCHER ON THE TEAM" knowing that something like this would happen I tell the team flat out "Look Kid I know you are angry and frustrated that Speedy is not on the team with us but if we want to continue in what we do we need more willing heroes to fight with us" with that he wanted to continue until Robin and Aqualad but their hands on Kid Flashes shoulders when they told him "If he wants to go solo let him he made his choice and so did we when we started this team I know you don't like it but give her a chance Kid" after Aqualad and Robin talked to Kid Flash he says "Fine I will give her a chance alright" and with that we all left for another day of exciting adventures to come.
