Chapter 32

As me and Chippy arrived at Mount Justice that's when I was taken to a medical center and everything went dark after that. I later awoke to find myself surrounded by all my friends and M'gann ran to me and hugged me as I smiled and rubbed her back I looked around and asked: "Where's Yvstorm?" Everyone stayed silent and looked solemn. "Why's everyone so quiet? Did something happen to Yvstorm?"

Kitsune put a hand on my shoulder and I looked at her with disbelief. "No, No, No! He can't be dead! He's too much of a badass to die!" I buried my face into Kitsune's chest and began to cry and wail. She comforted me as she rubbed my back and I fell to my knees. "Can you guys give us some privacy." "Of course." Wally turned and was about to reach out when Artemis stopped him she whispered something in his ear and looked down grief stricken and followed her outside. The door shut behind Wally and Artemis. "Do you need anything?" "I just need you to stay by my side." "I remember when I first got here he was so tough and strict with me but only because I reminded him so much of himself when he was younger he took me under his wing and basically raised me."


"So tell me what was your favorite memory with him." "We went out to this Japanese steak house as a celebration for me making it into final selection of becoming a Leauge member and he had a hard time using chopsticks he got so fed up he stormed outside I couldn't help but laugh and told him he could use a fork but he was so adamant on following Japanese tradition I had to teach him how to use them. He then took me out for gelato and it was our favorite past time to eat it and just look up at the stars and talk about our futures."


"But now when I'm so close to one of my goals for the future it's a heavy heart I feel in my chest that he's not there to be a witness to one of the milestones he promised me he wouldn't miss." I gripped the back of Kitsune's kimono as I looked up at the ceiling. "AH! You promised me you damn Viking! You gave me a Viking promise!" "If you want I can leave you alone for a little bit."

I looked over at Kitsune with tears stinging my eyes. "I don't want to be alone please stay?" "Can I lay my head on your lap?" "Anything you want Tor." I curled up in a the fetal position and lied my head on Kitsune's lap as she caressed my hair. "Promise you'll stay here?" Kitsune just smiled and stiffled a small snort laugh and replied back: "I'm not going anywhere I promise you Archtor'hm you can't get rid of me that easily." "Thanks Kitsune."
