In the evening, Sean walked downstairs, talking on the phone.
"Uh..." Sean answered vaguely.
He looked up at the crowd. Then his gaze fell on Daisy, and he handed his hand to her. "Mom wants to talk to you."
Daisy was stunned, thinking, "Is it appropriate for her to answer the call from her ex-mother-in-law?"
Hesitantly, she took it and stuttered, "Aunt, Mom..."
Savannah laughed and joked, "Are you calling me Aunt or Mom?"
Daisy's face was burning hot. She paused and didn't know what to say.
"Alright." Savannah stopped teasing her. "Are you free these days? There's a lot to prepare for Simon's wedding. If you're free, come and help me... okay?"
"Uh..." Daisy subconsciously looked at Sean. Was it his idea?
Technically, she should help, but she was now in an awkward position.
Noticing Daisy's hesitation, Savannah added, "Anne is busy, so I can't handle it herself. Come and help me."
...
Daisy couldn't say no. "Okay, I will."
