"Do you know her?" asked Maya with a bold face to Yuki, who chose to look down.

"No! Duh! Let's just go. Anyway, our lecture is over," whispered Yuki. She then hurriedly pulled her friend's hand and rushed towards the basketball court where Mike usually played.

"Where are the others? Why is this place so creepy?"

"No, Maya. It's just your feelings. We came on a day when not many people were in college, and we had to hurry before it rained," Yuki said, pointing at the sky, which was already darkening because it was going to rain.

Seeing the gate getting closer, Maya immediately remembered Ray, her driver, who promised to catch up with her after the lecture was over.

"I'll call my driver first," Maya exclaimed and waited for Ray to answer her phone call.

["Hello, Miss Maya,"] Ray greeted her in his soft yet firm tone.

"May, hurry up! There he is!" Yuki pointed at the figure, watching them with her eerie eyes.

"My lecture is over, Mr. Bambang doesn't teach. Can you follow me now?"

["What's wrong? I heard your friend was so scared!"]

"Yes! Help! Hurry! I don't want him to hurt me!"

["Oh, okay! I'm near your campus. I'll be there right now!"] Ray then turned off his phone call and ran as fast as he could because he knew his young lady was in the wrong way.

Hearing Ray's promise, Maya quickened her pace towards the campus gate and stood near the gate security post to make sure the mysterious man did not disturb her.

"We'll wait for him here!" Maya said, putting on an anxious face as she waited for Ray to arrive.

"Your driver will come? Are you sure?"

"I will!" said Maya, reassuring her friend, who was somehow so scared to see the man who was watching them.

"Miss!" called Ray through the windshield, which he lowered slowly. "Get in!"

Without waiting, Maya immediately opened the door of Ray's Innova car and sat on the left side so that Ray could sit next to her.

"What's wrong with you guys looking so scared?" asked Ray, who immediately drove off.

"That!" Yuki pointed at the man who was running after the car.

"Who is he?" asked Ray, furrowing his brow.

"No idea! He follows us a lot!" said Yuki, still with a scared face.

"Hmmm! I'll remember his face. Now you just relax, that guy won't hurt you guys!"

Ray then accelerated the car until the mysterious man could not follow the vehicle he was driving.

The car soon made its way to a café, and Maya admitted that she was hungry due to the fear caused by the stranger's presence.

The café Ray chose was a steakhouse on Jalan Arjuna-Malang that Maya Winata's family still owned.

"You know I love this place," Maya praised when Ray finished parking the car.

"Of course I do."

Maya stepped into the café and sat in the corner, her favorite spot.

Her eyes darted around the café, hoping that a waiter would approach her and take the order she wanted.

"Why is this cafe so quiet?" whispered Maya after a few minutes of waiting. "Where are the waitresses and the usually busy customers?"

"Let me get them!" said Ray, taking the initiative to walk to the cashier and pick up the sheet of paper with the lunch menu.

"Do you think there's something strange about this place?" Maya asked Ray as the driver began to walk toward her again.

"Yes, it's been rumored that some of the employees at your father's cafe have been laid off."

"Oh my! How did I not know," Maya whispered, feeling sorry for the condition of her father's company that she had just heard about.

"You have to be patient. It won't be long," Yuki consoled. Then, she grabbed the menu paper in Maya's hand and began to choose what she would eat that afternoon.

"I want chicken steak!" said Ray before Maya could decide on her lunch.

"You're rude," Maya whispered and ordered the same menu as Ray.

"Why are you rude? It's not like you can never make up your mind fast enough to choose the same menu as the first person who ordered the food," Ray chuckled as if he knew his young lady's habits.

"Mmm! You know about that, too?" Yuki chuckled and then pushed Maya's shoulder. She was still blushing because of Ray's very precise words about her.

"Why do you seem to agree with Ray's words?"

"Because that's the way it is. I was waiting for you to say your order first but you were confused,"

Hearing Yuki's words, which echoed Ray's, Maya's head dropped even deeper. She immediately realized her weakness all this time, which was very disliked by Mike, who ended up preferring his twin sister over her.

"Don't be sad! Come on!" Ray rubbed Maya's shoulder encouragingly.

Ray's gentle hand made Maya quickly raise her face and smile slightly.

"Yes, it's over! I'm not meant to be with Mike!"

Just as her ex's name was uttered from her lips, Mike's figure was suddenly seen walking in with Miya while holding hands.

Maya was certainly not prepared for her meeting with her ex, especially since Mike's hand was gently clasping Miya's, who was reportedly pregnant.

"You don't look! You don't look!" prevented Yuki from standing right in front of her friend's face so as not to see the campus playboy.

"No! Leave it alone! I don't want to look away from them, they can see that I'm still strong even though this is very bitter!"

"Don't be reckless, Maya. I know you can do crazy things when you're angry. You're going to burn this place down, aren't you?"

"Angry," whispered Maya, who again heard her shortcomings from her friend's lips.

"You're not going to burn this place down?"

"Why should I burn this place down?" asked Maya, not understanding.

"Have you forgotten that you once told me to burn down our friend's boarding house because our friend had an affair?"

"Hah!" Maya replayed her memories and felt ashamed of her uncontrollable behavior when she was angry.

"Don't tell me you forgot, huh? You have a temper and are very scary when you're angry!"

Maya nodded slowly and looked at Ray, who was still sitting quietly. "There's no way I'm that angry right now!"

"Thank goodness!" Yuki breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Maya. "I hope Miya doesn't make you dark-eyed again so that I won't be bothered by her,"

Just as Yuki stopped speaking, suddenly Mike, who was sitting facing the table where Maya and her friend were then, seemed to pull Miya's shoulder until it landed on his well-built shoulder. "You lean here; I don't want you to get tired," Mike whispered softly.

Whether Mike intended it or not, this scene certainly made Maya start to burn with jealousy until her face turned bright red.

Seeing Maya, whose face was bright red, Yuki began to squeeze Ray's fingers, hoping that this young driver could stop Maya's anger.

"They've gone too far," Maya whispered and closed her eyes.
