Ray quickly made a decision and then turned to Maya. "In that case, I'll take you home, how about you, Miss?" Ray asked, turning to Yuki, who was still nearby.

"You don't need to worry about me, I'll just take a taxi home. If I have evidence against that old man later, I'll contact you!"

"Thank you," Maya said, then hugged her friend. "I'll be very grateful if you can help me in the end."

"Don't worry! I will definitely help you. You don't have to worry!" Yuki then grabbed her school bag and walked away, leaving Ray and Maya still discussing their plans as soon as this young woman returned home.

After talking for quite a while, Ray finally took Maya into the car and started driving until they arrived at the luxurious family home that had become a property investment for the past two years.

"There!" Maya pointed to the red BMW parked in front of her house. "That's Mike's car!" Maya said, still annoyed with her boyfriend.

"Yes, I know," Ray nodded for a moment and then parked the car near the entrance. "You get out, I'll follow!"

Ray's words really made Maya feel calm. The fiery woman then immediately cleared her throat and, a moment later, opened the car door and walked into the house.

"The troublemaker has arrived!" Inaya shouted as if ordering her assembled people to attack Mr. Winata's newly returned campus son.

"Why did you say that?" Maya asked, then chose to sit on the long dark blue sofa in the living room.

This is where her father usually received essential guests.

Seeing Maya sitting so tensely, somehow, Inaya's courage also diminished. She then ordered five of her right-hand men, who were ready to insult this young girl, to sit on another sofa in front of where Maya was seated to listen to what Maya was going to say.

"Why should we sit down? Aren't we planning to attack her for the mistake she just made?" whispered an old woman who chose to sit right next to Inaya.

"Not now, this crazy woman must have something she wants to say. That's why she's sitting there,"

"Oh! As you wish, Madam," the old woman replied, then gave Maya time to start her speech.

"I did make a mistake. But I want you to know that I did this because I was confused," Maya began to speak but stopped her words when she saw Mike walking towards Inaya.

"Mother, I'm sorry I just arrived," Mike greeted Inaya gently. He then bowed slightly and sat in front of Maya, who was still angry with him.

"Mmm! So I'll continue. I will take care of all the responsibilities of my family well. Don't worry," Maya continued with tears in her eyes.

"Are you going to fix everything? Can you even do it?" grumbled Inaya's cronies. A moment later, laughter was heard so falsely.

"I will fix it. Although I don't know how,"

"No need to bother! Just let your sister Miya marry me. That's it, after that the problem is resolved and we live happily with our own affairs!"

Maya shook her head upon hearing what her former lover said. "You can marry her, go ahead! But I will still pay off my father's debt. I don't want him to die in such debt!"

"Oh my God! You're so confident! Even after Mike gets married, we've gained tremendous profit from all this,"

"No! Ma'am, please don't!"

"You're stubborn!" Inaya shouted, then stood in front of Maya and roughly grabbed the young girl's hand.

Crack!!!

Maya fell to the white marble floor of her house with a slight groan, but she still tried to smile so that Inaya wouldn't feel like the winner at this critical moment.

"You're stubborn! Can't be easily given up!"

"If you want to take my father's wealth, just say it. No need to hurt me and my sister like this!" Maya shouted, surprised Inaya by the sound.

"What devil possessed you that you dare to shout at me like this, Maya!!"

"Devil?! Aren't you the devil!"

"You! Don't make me throw you onto the streets, okay!"

"Throw! Throw me into the street, Ma'am!" Maya stood with rolling eyes while glancing at Mike, whom she knew had a close relationship with her stepmother. "I'm not afraid of being poor, not like you who are so greedy for wealth!"

The whole room laughed as they listened to what the young girl had just said; who never knew how painful the world was when someone didn't have a penny in their pocket?

They continued to laugh while waiting for Maya to realize her words seemed too naive.

"Why are you laughing? Do you think I'll starve if I leave this house?"

Inaya walked towards Maya while still laughing at the young girl's naivety. "You won't be able to live without money, Miss. Who will feed you?"

Hearing Inaya's cynical words, Maya smiled and put her hands on her waist in front of her stepmother. "Have you forgotten, you blocked my ATM, but I can still pay for my lunch today! Where do you think I got the money from?"

Inaya nodded, remembering what she had done two days ago. She then smiled and stared at Maya with curiosity.

"How did that happen," whispered Inaya, then took a few steps back until her feet stopped at the sofa where she had been sitting earlier. "Why can she?"

"Why, Madam? Are you surprised that I can escape from one problem in my life? Do you think I'm what kind of woman? Useless?" challenged Maya with a sly smile.

"What she said is true?" asked the old woman sitting next to Inaya.

"Yes, but Budi said if this girl is having lunch at a steakhouse. So she managed to pay for her lunch even though I had blocked her debit card,"

"Mmm! So who is protecting this girl!"

Seeing Inaya talking seriously to her cronies, Maya smiled broadly. She felt victorious even for a small thing that she could finally solve on her own.

'Oh! So this is how you fight against evil people? I have to be strong and prove to them that I can solve my problems even though they're just trivial!' whispered Maya to herself.

"Mother, what should we do now?" Mike asked, walking towards Inaya's chair.

Hearing what Mike said to Inaya, Maya knew even more that the two of them indeed had a perfect relationship. 'Mmm! So Mike is colluding with Inaya. Good! Then my enemy becomes clearer!'

"Later! Let's not argue in front of her," Inaya asked, still watching the smile lines on Maya's face. "It turns out she's not an ordinary girl, we have to be careful with her,"

"Okay!" Mike said as he sat back down.
