The Small Box

Some time passed since Yone and Kakashi talked and Yone was watching Kakashi from afar making sure that Kakashi was meddling in with people again.

Yone felt happy to see that Kakashi would talk to Guy or at least that Guy talked to Kakashi dragging him around with his Youthful Spirit to see their classmates Kurenai and Asuma.

This put Yone at ease since Kakashi was beginning to open up to people again making this a small success. Yone then left to meet with Sakumo and his wife as he was invited to eat with them.

"So how is he doing after your conversation?" asks Sakumo curious as they were eating lunch.

"He is slowly crawling out of his shell thanks to his friend and rival Guy. That kid could always bring out the best in people even if they misunderstand him most of the time," says Yone as he turns to Sakumo's wife to thank her for the meal.

"I heard that a new record of ten bowls of ramen was achieved three days ago by your daughter," says Sakumo's wife in awe.

"Well, Kushina always loved ramen and she never ate more than two bowls because she normally pays for it. This time I was the one paying so she took advantage of me," says Yone making Sakumo and his wife laugh after hearing that.

"How was the camping trip with Hori?" asks Sakumo in code.

"The trio itself was uneventful except for catching some fish that we brought with us," says Yone assuring Sakumo that he didn't start a war.

"So what now?" asks Sakumo as Yone leans backward using his hands on the ground to stabilize himself.

"The same routine as always, teaching at the Academy. I am too old for missions after all," says Yone since he didn't want to meddle with ordinary missions.

"Maybe, I train Naruto since his father is too occupied with work," says Yone excited since it has been years since he trained someone seriously.

"I heard that Jiraiya wanted to do the same. He wanted to teach Naruto until he learned to enter Sage Mode," says Sakumo as Yone sighs after hearing that.

"But it is quite easy to do that," says Yone as he enters Sage Mode as black lines run all over his face resembling Hashirama's Sage Mode before the lines disappear and his eyes turned yellow resembling those of a toad.

"I had to teach my children in their Sage Mode making me go through a difficult time even more so with Hori since I had to enter the Ryuchi Cave to meet with the White Snake Sage," says Yone as he used the same opportunity to clean the place up for a bit.

"So back to teaching children. Your wife would be happy if she was still alive," says Sakumo's wife warmly making Yun smile at her.

"She would," says Yone before he looks at Sakumo and says, "Tsunade sent a letter to Nawaki with a picture of herself and Shizune."

"The Jonins must have left the city to find her again," says Sakumo seriously which made Yone laugh at him.

"It will be hard to catch them since Tsunade is a Sannin. They would rather fall into a trap set up by her than catch her and Shizune," says Yone joking about it.

"I hope not, last time the Jonins returned completely drained because they had to pay her debts off," says Sakumo remembering what happened the last time they sent people to get her back.

"They should just let her alone. She will return sooner or later," says Yone as Sakumo looked at him seriously.

"I think that she is waiting for someone to drag her back into the village," says Sakumo since Jiraiya is the only Sannin that comes and goes after Orochimaru and Tsunade left the village.

"Did Jiraiya say that?" asks Yone knowing full well that it must have been Jiraiya that spread this rumor.

"He met her after all," says Sakumo as Yone closes his eyes to think.

Sakumo's wife seemed excited to find out what Yone was about to say as it was more exciting that the book she was reading at the moment.

"If Jiraiya is telling the truth the only one that can bring her back would be me," says Yone seriously as he notices Sakumo's wife stare hole in him.

"And are you going to get her?" asks Sakumo's wife in excitement as the book she was reading falls onto the table.

Yone and Sakumo were surprised to see the book since it was one of Jiraiya's smut books instead of a romance book as they imagined.

"I would need to talk to Nawaki about that before I really do that," says Yone as he needed Nawaki's blessing if he was going to retrieve Tsunade since he wouldn't be able to hold back.

"Why would you need to ask Nawaki?" asks Sakumo as his wife takes the book from the table and puts it inside of her clothes so she could always grab it to read.

Yone then places a small box on the table and opens it. Sakumo and his wife could see what was inside and were surprised by it when Yone closes the box again.

"Do you understand now why I need his blessing? Our grandmother would agree to it but Nawaki is the current head of the Senju Clan. I need his blessing for what I might do if I meet Tsunade again" says Yone explaining his standpoint in this matter.

"Should I talk to him? You know that I can be quite convincing," says Sakumo's wife as she wanted Yone to be happy.

"No, I will do that myself. I still have some free days from the Academy since we are on summer break. Might as well use those days to straighten me up and talk to Nawaki and the children before going after Tsunade and Shizune," says Yone as he put the small box back into the inside pocket of his jacket.

"I hope it works out," says Sakumo as Yone sighs a bit nervous.

"I hope so too," says Yone as he stayed there for a while longer before leaving the house.

He returned to his property when he sees Naruto playing with Yahiko and his summon Monkey who he named Daichi. It was a young monkey around his age instead of the old Enma as Yone could still see how energetic Daichi was compared to Enma.

Yone entered his house and saw Kushina, Karin, Hana, and Hina talking with each other and gossiping about the news in the village when Yone sits down beside them.

His daughters were surprised by Yone since he would normally ignore them and go to his study or play with Naruto while they are gossiping when Yone says, "I have been talking with your uncle Sakumo about Tsunade."

"Is it finally time," says Hana in excitement while the others were staring holes into him with their excitement.

"It might be, but before I get her back," says Yone as he takes the small box out and shows the content of it to his daughters.

Hana stretches her arm to grab the box as the group of women took a closer look when Kushina says, "Even my ring looks like trash compared to this one."

"Your mother used to have one that looked the same. It was hard for the artisan to make another one that resembled the ring your mother wore as the gems imbued in the ring were rubies and sapphires that resembled your mother's hair and eye colors," says Yone to his daughters as it was hard to find gems with the hair and eye colors of Tsunade.

"It took him two years and it cost me a fortune," says Yone as his daughters felt envious of Tsunade since she received such a precious gift.

"I wish Nagato would finally propose to me," says Karin when she turned red because everyone was looking at her making her realize that she said it out loud.

"Anyway, what are your thoughts on me getting Tsunade?" asks Yone seriously as his daughters began to laugh out loud.

"We were all waiting for you to finally go and get her. We all wanted her to be our mother when we were children. What should have changed from then to now? The only trouble I see is her huge debt that you might have to pay off to Konoha or better said to Nawaki who was handling said matter until now," says Kushina happy that her father was taking his first step in getting the woman he loves.

"It seems you have the same opinion as your aunt," says Yone as he takes the case and puts it away before saying, "Can you deal with your brothers until I return and inform them about what I am about to do? Maybe one of them will spontaneously do the same."

Yone then gets to his room as he changes his outfit. He didn't put on his trench coat or got his weapons out. He just puts on his teacher's outfit which is a normal Jonin outfit and leaves the house again.

Naruto rushed at him and hugged his leg and Yone petted his head when he hears, "Where are you going?"

"I am going to visit an old friend of mine who left the village. If I am lucky you will meet her soon," says Yone to Naruto who has sparkles in his eyes since all the people Yone called his friends are super strong in Naruto's eyes.

Naruto met with Jiraiya, Hiruzen, and Sakumo already and heard stories about Orochimaru and Tsunade from Jiraiya for now. He was super excited to meet this friend of his grandfather as he let go of Yone so he could bring that friend back.

Yone then walks away while waving at his grandson until he couldn't see him before concentrating on his mission which was to get Tsunade and Shizune back. He passed through the gates of Konoha without trouble and began his journey to find Tsunade and Shizune.
