Everyone ate together because it was Sunday... The first set was all senior males discussing major international concerns...

When Vami approached the youngster's set behind them, she noticed Rudran sitting... She attempted everything she could to get away from him, but Indu caught her...

"My child... Come here..."

Vami cautiously went there, unable to reject Indu's loving call...

"Sit here my baby..."

Indu took Vami and seated her opposite to Rudran... Ragini's face darkened when she saw that, for she understood Navami couldn't sit near to Rudran because his tails were usually there next to him...

However, Indu stepped up and destroyed her plan to arrange Navami opposite to Rudran so that he could view her better... The final attempt to position Navami to the side of Vami so that Rudran could see her also failed, as Rudhi and Raksha sat on either side of Vami, with Bhumi and Netra following them...

Vami was sitting there without looking at Rudran, but her eyes were drawn to him and she saw him looking at her with disgust, so she withdrew her gaze in fear...

But every once in a while, their gazes locked... Pandavas and Ragini were the only ones who noticed their eye exchange... Ragini's brow furrowed in rage...

Vami was behind Rudran when everyone finished eating and went to wash their hands... After washing his hands, he turned around, glared angrily at her, and walked away... Ragini taps on Vami's sholder, who was looking in the direction Rudran had gone...

"Look here girl... My daughter Navami's and Rudra's wedding is fixed..."

Ragini went away, glaring angrily at Vami.

Vami was taken aback by what she said... She stood there shaking, like if her eyes and ears had been shut, tears streaming down her cheeks, as if her heart had stopped and she was losing something precious to her...

After thoroughly washing her face, Vami examined herself in the mirror. Her cheeks, eyes, and nose turned bright red. She felt agony in her chest from the hurt Ragin's comments had caused her.

Vami repeatedly cleansed her face. She entered the hall with a smile on her face.

"Oh, what's wrong, dear... Your face hurts so much.

Indu approaches Vami in anguish after noticing her withering face.

"It's nothing, Indu Mom..." I unintentionally poked one of my hands into my eyes before cleaning them... My eyes are scratching, and I'm really irritated. I then washed it with a lot of water..."

Vami and Indu were sitting on the side of the courtyard... Indu was giving Vami some sweets while rubbing her hand and saying something...

Vami's eyes welled up with tears when she saw this... She realised that being here any longer would cause her chest to burst, and that the only way to quiet her mind was to go somewhere and be alone... She went, telling Indu that she will return soon...

Bhumi prevented Netra from following behind Vami by holding her hand... They were watching Vami as she walked...

Vami finally came to a halt beside the pond's edge and sat down on its stairs... Her eyes were welling up with tears....

"Why am I crying..."

Vami wipes her eyes and gazes out at the pond...

"Why am I crying because Ragini Aunty said Rudran and Navami's marriage is fixed...

Why does it feel as though a stone has been thrown into my chest... Why is it so painful for me... Why does it feel like my chest is about to burst...

Yesterday was the first time I saw Rudran... But why do I become upset when he doesn't talk to me, cry when he doesn't look at me, and angry when he gets furious with me...

Netra glanced down at the pond with contempt... Vami gazed at Netra, stunned...

" Ragini Aunty mentioned Rudran and Navami's marriage was set... The manner she said those words and acted towards me hinted that she was really angry with me... And it made me really sad... "

Vami gazed at Netra, half-hiding the truth... But then something happened that surprised even her... From Netra, who had been worried for so long, to Bhumi, who didn't raise a single voice, burst into laughter....

When Raksha remarked dismissively, Vami watched Bhumi's face turn pale...

They talked until late in the evening... Vami felt as if all her troubles vanished when she was around them...
