Fatigue
There is a phenomenon known as whisker fatigue that all cat owners should be aware of. In some cases, cats will avoid eating or drinking from their bowls because it's causing them sensory overload due to their whiskers brushing against the bowl.
A flatter bowl, aka a plate, can solve this issue. Although this only affects some cats, it's still important to be aware of this potential issue.
