Having gratefully received the school-level spiritual talisman generously given to him by Amoni, Master of the Museum, Chen Xuan was led by Professor Hassan to the location of the Ahmose Pyramid.
"The Ahmose Pyramid, the last pyramid built in Ailand, was completed during the 18th Dynasty and constructed by the first king of the 18th Dynasty, Ahmose I, but it was not used as a tomb, it was merely a monument."
Professor Hassan explained, "Because it is a memorial, rather than a tomb for the Pharaoh, other mummies besides the Pharaoh, got a chance to be inside."
"The 'Singing Lady Mummy', found there, is a fairly famous example."
During the Middle Kingdom period more than two thousand years before the Common Era, as the mummification process gradually developed and became widespread, the demand for preserving bodies properly increased.
This also meant that mummification was no longer confined to pharaohs and the nobility. The non-nobles were also permitted to participate.
