Day 2 Confusion and School

The next thing I knew was a loud alarm going off.

"What the hell happened?" I spoke outloud.

I rolled over and squished my 4 cheese stuffed bread into my bedding. The loud noise was my alarm clock letting me know I needed to get up for school.

"Damn it, what the hell happened? I said again annoyed.

I remember having Cain relax and focus on seeing what he could see through me and then nothing.

"Cain? Can you hear me?" I asked quietly.

Nothing came back as a reply. I tried to feel for Cain but I felt nothing at all. Nothing at all... I don't know what happened but I will keep trying throughout the day. At least that was what I told myself as I got ready for school. I got up and took a quick shower. I then went to my closet and looked at what I had that I could wear.

"Hmmm, I think I will go navy blue today" I mumbled to myself.

I grabbed both of my outfits. Looking at them I chose my one that said 'Death is the only equalizer that is 100% fair'. The other two I put back in my closet for other days. Now that I chose my clothes, I got dressed and moved to look at my bed. I picked up my stuffed breadstick, went down my stairs and threw it away in the trash can by my microwave. I then went back up and glanced at the clock. I had 25 mins before I had to leave for school this morning. I pulled my comforter off my bed and gathered it up to take to the laundry room. I knew I needed to ask my mom if she had wash to do so I could get it washed before I come home. I climbed down my stairs and went to the door in my room. Opening it up I moved to push my comforter out the door and I got a grunt in front of me.

"What the hell do you think you are doing? You don't have time to wash that before you have to go to school and I don't have the time to do your wash as well as my own. So leave that in your room." My mom replied.

"Mom, I am going to take it to the laundry mat that will wash it and let me pick it back up after school err after work. So no worries about my comforter. I am going to grab some cereal and then head out so I have enough time to drop this off." I replied.

"Sounds good to me, have a good day at school and then work. Remember just don't be late getting home tonight." Mom said happily.

"Ok, thanks Mom, have a good day today as well." I said with a wave.

I headed down my stairs and stopped in the laundry room to grab a bag to fill my comforter in. Then I went in to the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and looked at the boxes of cereal.

"Hmm, which do I want? Sugar, chocolate or fruity today. I will I will go fruity today. So loops or pebbles... pebbles I guess. Now to grab some milk to put on them." I stated out loud.

I kept hoping Cain would speak up and say something. Again nothing was felt or heard. I made my food and and sat down to eat. Not really hungry for some reason but I still ate my food. Looking at the time, I still had 10 mins before I had to leave so I got my shoes on, grabbed my bookbag and my comforter and headed out the door. I knew I wouldn't be able to do both if I took the bus so I decided to run there. Lets see what I could truly do.

I counted down in my head, 3, 2, 1, GO! as soon as I was far enough away from the house that I couldn't be seen. As soon as I said go I toook off running as fast as I could. In 3 mins I was at the laundry mat and walked in catching my breath.

"Hello, Onyx What can we do for you today?" asked the owner of the Laundrymat named Debra asked me.

"Hey Debra, I need my comforter washed I feel asleep and squished my stuffed bread into it. Can I pick it back up after I get off work today? It will be late tonight though." I asked with a smile.

"We are open 24 hours a day for a reason and yeah sure that will be fine. It will be $7 for the service is that ok?" Debra asked me.

I nodded and handed over my comforter. I reached into my pocket and took out my wallet and handed her $10 and waved my hand when she tried to give me my change back.

"I have to go now, don't want to be late to school." I said still refusing the change back. "Enjoy the tip for the service."

I made sure to walk far enough away and looked around. No one was out that I could see so I again took off running towards the school. When I arrived I still had 20 mins before the school opened up so I went over and sat down on a swing at the park across from the school and relaxed a bit. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the warmth from the morning sun. Rarely did I get to enjoy the sun like I am getting to today.

"Hey, Onyx you are early today for once." Said Claire with a smile at me. "Is everything ok?"

Her phone chimed and she glanced down at it and her smile faultered. She replied back to a text message and then nodded.

"I am fine, is everything ok on your end?" I asked puzzled.

"Yeah it was just my servant giving me an update and asking what to do next. How are things going with yours? We are learning to trust each other right now but its going pretty good on my end." Claire replied.

"Well we tried something last night and something went wrong. I think I knocked him out cold and he did the same for me. I can't wait to get out of school and get into the game too make sure he is ok." I said with worry in my voice.

"You actually care for him huh, thats good at least." Claire replied with a smile again. "Well lets get to class, we have a test in english today."

I groaned, grabbed my bag and got up. The school day was now starting and I already did not want to be here. I hoped for a fast day today and a decent lunch options for the day. I forgot to look at the menu to see what they were today.

The morning went by turtle slow and I was so bored I almost fell asleep twice during my technology class. Then English came around and that test was shockingly easy for me to do. I had read the required book last week as I loved mythology and the Odyessy was all about mythology. Lunch came around and I was over excited. It was beef curry day today and I loved it. The spices were perfect and the rice always mixed perfectly. I downed my foood in record time and then decided to have some dessert, they had carrot cake which is my favorite again. Today was a great lunch day, I knew I would have to pack my lunch tomorrow though as it willl probably be something I don't like very much.

The afternoon was uneventful and as I was getting ready to leave for the day I ran into Damien, literally. He knocked me on my butt as I was off balance.

"Hello little Onyx, how's it going? Anything cool happen today? Are your new pets behaving?" Damien asked.

"I am good, things are great and they are NOT pets, they are my seethe." I replied slightly annoyed as I got up from the floor. "Also I am not little."

He laughed and said, "See you at work later."

I waved and walked to the front gate. I was going to walk with Claire and Ethan to work today.
