The Legacy of Amandus

As the bright white light disappeared from the large hall that was filled to the brim with students melted away.

The students had disappeared from their positions.

Seeing that the students had all indeed been transported to the legacy of Amandus, Sebastian brought his arms down and let out a sigh.

A soft voice breathed heavily into his right ear.

"Hu--"

"AH! Don't do that!" Quickly jumping away with a flush on his face, the Headmistress giggled before continuing as if nothing was wrong.

"Sebastian, How many do you think will get a chance to see a part of his Legacy?"

"Khm, Well we can say without a doubt that all the gold will have a high chance of seeing the Legacy, and if they have some will to challenge themselves we can say about fifty percent can see it, it's just a manner of how much they will see"

"Is that so, Sebastian? How many do you think will be able to see about half of his legacy like me?"

Cutely putting her tongue out, the woman sauntered up to Sebastian that was trying to calm down.

"W-well the gold will definitely see it and a few of the s-silvers... w-what are you doing!?"

Jumping up like a surprised cat as the Headmistress suddenly appeared by his side when he was trying to calm himself down.

"What?... It's just some friendly skin ship between colleagues, what's wrong with that?"

'What type of Colleagues do this!?'

As the devastating weapons that hung on her chest pressed against his own Sebastian knew that he lost this battle and quickly coughed out an excuse before slipping out of her grasp.

"KHM! Well I'm sorry to bother you Miss Evangelina but I must get going now, there are things to greet and people to do"

Turning around and speed walking out of the hall, Evangelina chuckled as Sebastian unknowingly... misspoke a few words in his hurry.

"Why don't you do me?"

"HAVE A GOOD DAY HEADMISTRESS I'LL BE GOING NOW!"

Now running away, Sebastian turned the corner and disappeared from sight.

Chuckling to herself, the Headmistress used the remaining magic in the air and opened the Observer's eye to the Legacy of Amandus.

'Heh, still cute as ever, now then...'

Sifting through the myriad of images that were appearing within her mind, the Headmistress soon frowned.

'What in the holy...?'

Sifting through the images with greater speed within her mind as she returned to the wooden seat and sat down on it.

She crossed her legs as her mind fell into slight chaos.

'...This is a problem'

Looking through the observer's eyes displayed images once again to confirm the fear that she was feeling.

'Where are the Prince and Princess?'

---

'Is this his legacy?'

The first thing Ellora could acutely notice with her knowledge and senses from her previous life was that she was currently in a separate space.

As she had that thought, flames were set alight from alcoves embedded into the walls.

Running along the sides of the walls, the light revealed that she was inside of a large room with a dome like structure.

Staring at the ceiling, Ellora felt secretly amazed.

Not because of the fact that the separate space was much grander than she had thought even though that had a part in her amazement.

No, the reason of her amazement was the mural that the ceiling displayed.

It showed the forces of Lyxia in all of their righteous glory wielding the powers of life and light fighting against unspeakable forces of darkness.

Facing against the Heavenly faction were the forces of Pandora as they wielded darkness and death against them, using distorted inhuman horrors against the forces off light.

The twisted entities of darkness of contorted limbs and stretched faces were rushing alongside the demons in the center of the mural, the contorted limbs reaching at the Angels.

'I didn't know that the Infinite Circle Mage was a follower of Lyxia'

The great war's that occurred over the course of ages was usually a three-way split between the three major powers..

The forces of Hell's Pandora faction.

The forces of Heaven's Lyxia faction.

And the neutral forces of Artaxia's Artaxian Alliance.

And with the end of the great war and the appearance of the temporary truce where the entire world was licking its wounds.

Followers of all three factions continued to slowly grow.

'Hmm... I will honor your name and carve it into my memory Exor Amandus for siding with the forces of Heaven in the great war.'

Turning her attention away from the grand mural that depicted the battle of Heaven and Hell, Ellora turned to the only pathway out of the mural room.

'Let's see what type of man he was'

Stepping into the stone hallway, strangely enough the demons of Hell seemed to wield the earth and flames against the monstrosity in the center of the mural.

As she left the mural room beind and started to walk in the long hallway, unbeknownst to her an eerie darkness started to slowly seep out of the center of the mural.

'Is this really the test of Amandus?'

Scoria furrowed his eyes as he dragged his fingers against the stone bricked walls, the flames dancing in their alcoves as if to greet him.

During his long ten-minute walk in this stone hallway, there were none of the so-called trials to be spoken of, only the stone hallway that continued to extend into the distance.

At the five-minute mark Scoria suspected that there were none of these trials of Amandus, that suspicion turned into a certainty when the trials failed to show their face.

However, a dull hope lingered in his heart that the hallway was instead the trial of Amandus.

So, grabbing onto that faint hope like a firm rope to guide hi into the unknown, Scoria continued to walk in the hallway.

Twenty-Minutes had passed since then.

At the twenty-minute mark the faint hope nearly disappeared and Scoria started to quickly walk, five minutes after he started to quickly walk, Scoria burst into a sprint.

And after ten whole minutes of full-on sprinting, Scoria circulated his mana.

"Ha- Ha- Ha-"

Tired pants came out of his mouth as his mana slowly dwindled.

After nearly ten minutes of this, Scoria finally cracked and stopped running.

His body screamed loudly as it worked overtime against the exhaustion.

Falling against the ground Scoria turned onto his back and closed his eyes with a slight tinge of despair.

He had run nearly for an entire hour in the hallway with literally no end in sight, and now his dull hope that this would have an end to it ended.

Eyes fluttering from one end of the hallway to another, a glint caught the corner of his eye.

"Ha- ha- ha- huh?"

Staring at the glint of light, Scoria noticed something strange now that he had calmed down from his confused mindset.

It was a small button.

In any other place, the button would be something that would be usually ignored.

But not to Scoria.

In a hallway that stretched on limitlessly, how could there be a button? It could be possible if someone else had come here before.

But from what the supervisors had stated, there was no such test stated in their speech.

As a hypothesis slowly rose in his mind, he quickly searched his body.

And lo and behold, a button was indeed missing from his coat.

As the gears in his mind started to slowly click into place, a faint hope started to glimmer in his heart.

Firmly grabbing onto the rope of hope as support, Scoria thought about his hypothesis.

Ripping off a piece of fabric and generating a rock of mana, he placed it against the ground and walked forwards.

And after nearly five minutes of walking, the rock of mana was right in front of him,, and underneath it was the ripped piece of fabric.

Smiling widely now, Scoria looked at the walls.

And with the intent to release all of his frustration, Scoria balled his hand up into a fist.

'Fuck you'

Pulling his hand back fully, an image of a spider pulling it's leg back seemed to rise from his back.

[1st form, Volcano Spider]

[Volcanic Stab]

Punching forwards, the walls collapsed completely and revealed a hidden space behind it.

Staring at the wide-open space that only had a large alter in the center was a strangely jarring after experiencing nothing but hallways for an entire hour.

With untrustful eyes, he stepped onto the space and prepared himself for any traps.

"Ha- Ha- Ha- Ha Yes!" Scoria screamed to the ceiling as he finally escaped from the trial, a sense of accomplishment filling his entire body.

But...

Staring at the Princess of Stratus with surprised eye, Scoria couldn't help but notice that she was on the other side of the altar.

And just as he looked at her, her own gaze met his.

Staring at each other with confused eyes, he couldn't help but notice that she was covered in a layer of cold sweat on her body.

---

Scoria stared at her with confusion evident in his features, and upon realizing that they were staring at each other for a time that could be considered impolite.

She coughed to herself and looked to the side, a strange feeling descending to her heart.

And as the both of them were wallowing in the awkward aura that seemed to have descended on the room like an inescapable plague.

The Room suddenly trembled.
