New Accomodations

"Hello there"

Entering the room with five different people Scoria eyed them up and down after entering the room quickly alongside Ellora.

Having been led here by a staff member of the academy, he met Ellora who was also being led by another staff member to the same location.

So in a fit of fate, the both of them had found each other rather early after missing each other in the throng of students and were now in the process of understanding each other.

"I must say Lady Nephele, you are much stronger than I thought"

Ellora lightly smiled "Call me Ellora Sir Morgast"

Scoria chuckled in return as he changed his words "Than if we are on first name basis than you may call me Scoria then"

As those words left their mouth's the small talk was already over and now they were going to get straight to the thing that they were concerned about.

"So is the bet over or is it still continuing?"

"I guess it's still continuing, it would be a shame to end it when there is no real winner."

"I agree"

"So what are we going to compete on? The entrance exam had us both placing at the top alongside seven others."

Hearing those words Ellora fell into thought, tilting her head and touching her lips with her finger before clapping her hands together and looking at Scoria with a smiling face.

"I know! Why don't we compete in strength? A duel perhaps?"

Hearing those words Scoria slightly narrowed his eyes and thought about the proposition.

'That is definitely beneficial to be sure if I accept this deal however...' Scoria recalled the appearance of Ellora that wasn't unlike his own.

'She's definitely strong...'

Of course that wasn't to say that he wasn't confident in himself as well, but there were things he would rather keep hidden until he could explain their existence.

'Now that I think about it' Scoria thought about himself and how he would probably fare against Ellora. 'I don't think I'll lose'

If he won, he would gain a powerful subordinate who could reach the powerful title of Champion of the Realm.

However on the off chance that he did lose due to his pride...

A sly smile reached his face.

'There's no way that'll happen'

Finishing his long train of thoughts that only happened within the span of a few steps, Scoria opened his mouth.

"I agree with that proposition, however we should set things up first should we not?"

"Do you mean by familiarizing ourselves with the place first?"

"Correct"

"One month should be enough shouldn't it?"

"I would say so"

"So in one month's time we'll meet at the arena and duel agreed"

"Agreed"

Hearing those words Ellora chuckled as a sea of thoughts rest within her head as they put their hands forwards and finalized the deal.

As the tense war of nerves continued between the two, the two staff members who were sadly caught in this mess shivered.

They were only the helping staff that dealt with all the things in the academy after all, and were wholly unprepared between the auras of two royal heirs.

So after bring them to their destination that consisted of a wide set of double doors that was embedded in the side of the hallway, the staff members quickly bowed to show their obedience and just as quickly left.

Now left alone, the two royal members stared at each other, blue eyes clashing against red before a small smirk appeared on their faces, fully knowing that the staff members were uncomfortable due to their actions.

It was an enjoyable experience to the both of them, raising their opinions of each other.

Each taking a handle on the set of double doors, they pushed the doors open and revealed the area beyond the doors.

The Heir of the Northern Desert tribe, Katar Norkov.

A tribe consisting of people holding the blood of the desert cats that lived in the terrifying heat.

Trained in the art of assassination since young by his Parents of the Scorpion Claw Tribe, the shifting sands of the desert were the most familiar to him.

Raised as the strongest amongst his peers, it was a given that arrogance and pride would cloud his judgement.

That was why the elders of the Tribe decided to send Katar to the greatest academy in the entirety of the Southern Continent Akuma, Amandus's Academy.

There they had hopes that the young man would realize he was a frog in the well and would widen his own horizons.

However they would be disappointed to find that his pride hadn't disappeared but had instead grown upon realizing that even if he was a frog in the well.

He was still better than most of the people in the school.

Well everyone but the Headmistress, Vice-Headmaster, the Head professors a few teachers and a few others.

But they were all much older than him, so although he respected them for their strength, that was all the respect he was willing to give.

The picture perfect example of a genius who believes they were above the whole world.

The other few that ruined that picture perfect ideal of someone who believed they would soon reach the top of the world however...

Profiling the people in the room almost habitually, Katar created a profile of the people's appearance and background.

They were the Sword Saint's Grand Daughter, Wyndolyn Lynn heir of the Tornado Blade, a blade renowned for every swing that could create Tornadoes.

Child of the Dragon Lord, Great Thunder Dragon a being known for their ability to bring the Storm to follow them, Klio Karkatina Doranko,

Lagos Koramangala, son of the Frigid King of Kori, the great Clan of the South and a long time enemy of the Northern Scorpion Claw Tribe.

'I'll humiliate you later'

And finally Ellimira Linet the daughter of the Sun Queen also known as the Sun's bow.

Katar had the off chance of seeing her once... well not exactly see her but more like felt her impact.

The image of a sun descending on the earth and the incredible heat that melted a good portion of the desert into glass was still seared into his mind.

So he knew that the Kind looking sun elf with golden eyes wasn't to be looked down on.

The sound of the door being opened attracted Katar's attention as he stared at the new appearances.

Opening the door, a Brown-grey headed boy and a grey-white headed girl both walked in.

'The Prince of Lava and the Princess of Clouds'

Eyeing them within his mind, Katar started to profile them, starting from their backgrounds.

Hailing from the Unique Kingdom Morgast, son of the Ashen Wizard, Scoria Del Dmantra, he made a big commotion in the other side of the continent.

That, alongside Ellora Laga Nephele who made a commotion on his side of the continent and was the daughter of the Cloudy Witch.

To see two people who were the main cause of the mass commotion that even reached his village, Katar couldn't help but be curious.

How strong were they?

Licking his lips unconsciously, his nose which had been enhanced by his ca like genes caught a familiar scent that caused his brain to start ringing bells.

'She has the same scent' Narrowing his eyes at that knowledge he thought about what to make of it.

---

'She's good' Sitting down and enjoying a cup of tea Scoria held the hot drink and dumped it down his throat.

Having greeted each other ahead of time Scoria got to know the characters in the room and their respective affiliations.

The woman in front of him brewing sweet scented tea was the daughter of the Sword Saint, Tornado Blade and was also their Heir.

Befitting of someone that was taught by the Sword Saint herself, the girl in front of him was very proficient and talented in the sword as was seen by the calluses on their hand.

That same talent seemed to have passed on to the art of tea making, as she held the pot up high as the green liquid flowed into the cups to their brim.

The Sleepy girl on the couch on the verge of falling into a deep slumber was the Thunder Dragonoid, a descendant of the Thunder Dragon to be frank.

The Sparkling blue horns and the glistening blue scales being a dead giveaway of her identity as a Dragonoid.

Her name was Klio Karkatina Doranko.

The one staring daggers at us from the start while trying to make it not as obvious, but failing terribly was from the Northern Desert.

Heir to the Scorpion Claw Tribe, he was Katar Norkov, a Cat Beast kin.

Averting his yellow colored eyes, Scoria's attention was brought to the ears facing there way.

Rolling an eye at the aloofness of the man, Scoria paid attention to the other two people here.

The Princess of the Sun elves and daughter of the Sun's Bow, Ellimira Linet and the Son of the Frigid king, heir of the Frozen South, Lagos Koramangala.

Both of them were looking at each other in curiosity, while at the same time were looking all over the room with a strange curiosity.

Not that Scoria could understand.

'Isn't this a normal level of wealth?'

Understandably, Scoria was confused.

As a royal in both lives, one in Hell the other in Artaxia, he had been exposed to unprecedented levels of extravagance as a child.

An extravagance that someone who lived on the hills close to the sun and one who endured the harsh cold South couldn't endure as they had different lifestyles.

A minimalistic lifestyle and an incredibly basic one.

After giving the pleasantries to each other and finding out each others identities, Scoria took this chance to look at more of the room they were in.

It was... minimalist fancy to say the least.

From the doorway, one could immediately grasp many of the basic details in the room.

Several lamps using the new magic technology that is powered by electricity were spread across the room casting a bright white light in the area.

The roof was tall enough that one wouldn't feel suffocated and revealed that there was in face a second floor where the banisters overlooked the main area.

The main area itself consisted of various chairs, couches, tables, decorations and plants.

A large window that led to the outside world and allowed one to view the outside.

all of this was also designed by very technically sound hands as the furniture gave a simple yet complex feeling, the carvings on the wood accentuating that feeling.

As the surroundings were carefully being carved in his mind, the door slowly swung open.

"Hello!"

Letting in the three other people into the room who were slowly arriving into the room.

They were immediately subject to the stares of the already present people.

Sweating slightly at the silent response the chubby Dwarven boy spoke first.

"I don't like this silence" Thumping his chest loudly, he confidently stepped forwards. "The Names Bjorn, Bjorn Velk, Nice to meet ya!"

Breaking the thin covering of ice with his cheerful personality, the Dwarf stopped his introductions and waved to the two mages on the side.

"These guys are twins! Introduce yourselves guys!"

Getting pushed to the fore front of the conversation, the boy and girl both wearing long robes hesitated before bowing down to greet them.

"Hi, my name is Lou Adele..."

"And mine is Marylyn Adele"

As both boy and girl bowed to them while waving their uniquely light pink colored hair, Scoria looked at the people in this room and silently thought.

'To go against the Abyss's hidden intentions we need strength that I don't have alone'

Although he was confident in himself, he wasn't blind in the strength of others.

Looking at the people introducing each other to the Dwarf and the Half Elf twins, their sharp ears twitching slightly, his thoughts continued.

'The people gathered here have great potential, and the Abyss still has unknown intentions besides a desire to sacrifice the Demons and Devils'

'I guess I can start from here' Smiling lightly, Scoria stepped forwards and greeted the newcomers.
