Special Mission

Then we both stepped into the 4th floor.

After that, we saw that the dungeon looked fully alive. Now I could feel the moisture in the air, as the breeze flew past my face. The sun in the sky made me feel warm and I could see fruits on a few trees.

I looked around and saw no monster was present so I walked towards the tree and used inspect skill. Then I saw the details.

Red fruits ( white )

- can be eaten to recover some stamina.

I then plucked a few and ate them. The taste was sour and sweet. I also gave one to Draco and after eating the fruit I said," so Draco which direction shall we go".

Draco thought for a while and then it said," Jack don't this floor of the dungeon looks a little strange".

I asked," strange! what do you mean?".

Draco replied," I can sense the breath of life. As you can see the world looks similar to our world but on the dungeon's 3rd floor I didn't feel like this. So if possible let's check the map now".

I listened to Draco's words and then I said," indeed now you say make sense. Let me check the details".

Saying so I took a look at the map. Then I saw it was completely different as on the map there were many tiny dots. Most of them were grey and it was one kilometer away from us.

So I said," Draco let's go, I found a few grey dots on the map".

Dragon said," okay Jack".

Then we both headed towards the grey dots.

A minute later we were standing before the entrance of the village.

Then I looked at the map it showed the name," ADVENTURER VILLAGE".

I then walked towards the gate and two guards were standing.

One of the guards stopped us and said," adventurer show us the token and you can go inside".

I took out the adventurer token and then the guard let us inside. Before heading inside I asked," what will happen to a person who has not joined the adventurer guild".

The guard said," they will be teleported randomly on this floor. There is a high chance that those people will be teleported near the monster".

Then I asked," so joining the adventurer guild has a such benefit on each floor".

The guard smiled and then said," of course".

Then I asked," why do you set adventurer village? And are you also adventurer like us?".

The guard replied," you don't have enough authority to know about us. If you want to know more about the core secret of the dungeon then you have to complete each floor special task at adventurer village".

I then said," so where can I get those tasks".

The other guard replied," go to the adventurer guild. The biggest building you see at the center of the village".

I said," thank you. See you guys later".

After that, we both walked inside while one guard guarding the door said," interesting stranger".

Then they both stopped and began to guard the door as usual.

I saw many adventurers here. They were mostly in the team. No solo adventurer had appeared till now.

Then I saw that there were many buildings. Such as inns, alchemist shops, blacksmiths, adventurer guilds, and many vendors selling so special dishes that I have never seen before. Like a vendor was grilling a big spider. And seeing the scene made my appetite go down.

I watched for some time and then Draco said," Jack let's go and clear this floor. nothing is interesting around this place".

I nodded my head and said," Okay, but before that let's pick up the special task".

Then we headed towards the adventurer guild. There were many adventurers busy so they didn't notice anything unusual.

Later we straight to the receptionist and said," we want to do the special task".

The middle-aged woman was taken aback and then she said," sir are you sure".

I nodded my head and said," of course".

The receptionist then said," sir you adventurer badge".

I handed it over to her. Then I said," what is the reward for completing the task".

The receptionist replied," 50 gold shells and your level will be upgraded from bronze to silver level".

I said," Okay then", saying so we headed outside the adventurer guild.

While inside the adventurer the people who listened to Jack's conversation with the receptionist were taken aback.

One of the adventurers said," are these guys idiots. Doing special tasks without anyone".

Another one said," okay let's not make a fool of ourselves. Let's pick the task that we can do ".

Outside the village, Draco asked," Jack what special task did you pick".

I replied," The take is to clear the spider lair. Its difficult rating is very dangerous".

Draco said," for others, the difficulty rating must be high but for us, it might be easy".

I nodded my head and the Draco had an excited look on his face and he asked," Jack are you going to blow up those monsters".

I said," let's see the monster first, and then we will act".

Draco said," Okay. So which direction shall we go".

I said," let me check the map".

Sure enough, an orange color exclamation mark was being displayed.

Seeing this I said," it's 20 kilometers away from us. Let's go".

Twenty minutes later we reached a cave. And I looked inside the cave and said," Draco do you think there will be spiders in this cave".

Draco said," in the map, it says so".

I nodded my head and said," shall we set the cave on fire first".

Draco asked," why do we need to do this?".

I replied," last time we were lucky that we escaped from the cave and a centipede followed behind us. The same can't be said for this time. Maybe that spider would be lying in an ambush".

Draco said," then what will happen if we burn the fire".

I replied," it will create smoke and also reduce the oxygen inside the cave. So it will force all the spiders to come out of the cave and we can kill those spiders".
