The official led them to a private office, where a senior guild officer was waiting. The officer, a stern-looking woman with sharp features and a no-nonsense demeanor, rose to greet them as they entered.

"Welcome to Highborne City," she said, her tone formal but not unfriendly. "I am Senior Officer Maren. I've been expecting you, Deputy Guildmaster Jean."

At the mention of Jean being the Deputy Guildmaster, Cruzer's eyes widened in surprise. He had known Jean was talented, but to be transferred as a Deputy Guildmaster at her age was extraordinary. Jean noticed his reaction and smiled, a hint of pride in her expression.
