After their mission with River, the boy never wakes up from his blackout. His eyes stay close, and his wounds never recover. 3 days waiting for his condition to get better, but it seems this time, he really dies for eternity. It seems like the injection that was given to him was not perfect.
The zombies in that building initially are the most hazardous being to human existence. The girl could never forgive herself for letting this happen one more time. She loses her family, and now she loses her half. She promises herself to always remember the boy in her heart.
The girl stares at the boy's grave for a long time. There is blackish color below her eyes showing her grief. She has been crying for a long time. She mourns for him day and night. But even so, she knows well that her sadness won't bring him back. What is left for her is resentment toward herself.
She should've listened to the boy and gone back to the woods.
The girl squeezes fresh dirt in the cemetery.
If she went back at that time with the boy, they could've lived happily ever after in the woods.
They could live in the woods for eternity.
River who is standing beside the girl is at loss for words. Part of him says it is his fault, other part convinces him it isn't. River touches the girl's shoulder, giving it gentle pats. The girl slaps his hand in agony. Her eyes reflect wrath and disappointment.
"I wanted to say that it's your fault, but then I realized I was the one who pushed him to do all this," Her voice is hoarse.
"I…I have nothing to say, I will not defend myself for what happened to Aiden," His eyes trembling as he meets the girl's blue eyes.
"Good, we both know we are at fault. You are wrong too. I don't want to suffer by myself," her voice is shaky but there is a strong remark on it.
"I am well aware…." River replies in a small voice.
"We should never forget this moment," A single tear drops from the girl's left eye.
"You understand it, River?" She looks right into his eyes.
"Yeah, ok," he replies shortly while holding his chest. Fully aware that they both will live with the same wound for the rest of their lives.
"Do you need a hug?" River opens up his arms.
"No, don't you dare touch me," The girl glares sharply at River.
The girl then puts her head on the cemetery ground and whispers.
"You will always be in my heart. For me, our ending is in the woods. We are both living happily ever after in that woods. I'm sorry for what I did. We'll soon be together. And if I die, I'll run to you. Be it in heaven or hell. I'll follow you,"
The girl springs up while River still looking at her awkwardly.
"Let's go," The girl exclaims.
"Where to?" River inclines.
"Kill off the zombies, and save humanity like what you said," The girl answers.
"Are you sure?"
"We have no time here, I'm gonna kill them all until I die,"
