Chapter 36: Broken
Zeke experienced a depression like never before in the days that followed. Two hours after the investigation panel questioned Eric Rowlands, an attack was made on a human, in the middle of the city.
Zeke learned that the human, a middle aged investment banker and father of three, was transported to the nearest hospital and was telling every nurse and doctor he came across that a large, vicious wolf had attacked him out of nowhere.
The rogue wolves were becoming more bold and more deadly with each passing day, and neither the Bronsons nor the Knowles were any closer to gaining control. It made Zeke feel like an absolute failure as an heir. Were they destined to be exposed to humans once and for all? Would the rogues try to gain control over the packs by way of threatening more violence? The possibilities made Zeke want to scream.
