Yin let out a shaky breath, obviously still scared of me, and nodded. "Yeah... There's probably a lot to go through... Where do we even start?" That was a good question. I kind of wondered how the whole Gamer thing was working out for her, but I had another thought that I was curious about.
"What level am I?" She looked at me, then hesitantly looked away.
"I... I don't know. I still can't see it. My Observe doesn't show me the level of anyone 40 levels higher then mine." Huh.
"Kind of makes sense. I'm fucking stronger then anything on this world... What about my girls?" She still looked a little uneasy about me saying how strong I was, but it was the truth. Hell, she probably knew it was the truth.
"I can't see Rika's level, so she's over 100. I know that for sure. Saeko and Shizuka are after her in their 80's, and Saya's two levels off of 80." I hummed at that.
(It makes sense. Shizuka DOES fight more then Saya. And Rika's got an actual military background. There's no real surprise here. I could ask how my stats translate to numbers, but I don't exactly care about that.) I thought about something else to ask, then I got it.
"You said you got a quest about us, right?" She nodded. "What're the rewards like?" Her eyes glazed over for a second or two, probably checking them out, then she zoned back in.
"Uh, I get a roll on one of your skills, a Werewolf(Noblesse) race change, a bunch of EXP, Lien, and a rare gacha ticket. I was too busy panicking at you and the rest of the girls being here to actually use any of them." That was interesting.
"Speaking of, hows the gacha? You get anything stupidly broken yet?" I saw her eye twitch, and I knew I struck a nerve.
"You'd think that right? But nooo. My luck sucks! Don't get me wrong, I DID get some good stuff. But holy fuck is it stupid! It's like I'm back home, pouring money into FGO to get a 5 star, and then I get duplicate after duplicate and don't even get a peek at the good stuff! I've used like 30 gacha tickets, and NOTHING I can use comes out! I swear, my system is just fucking with me!"
She started stomping on the ground, and I just watched on amused. The kid was scared of me, but It was like she forgot all about that as she started ranting about her luck. I recognized a gacha addict when I saw one.
"And don't even get me started with what I actually do get! I got the fucking stand arrow! BUT I CAN'T USE IT! Aura's a manifestation of our souls, but so are stands. One thing can't exist with the other, so if I tried to use the arrow, I'd lose my aura! What the hell!? Why can't I have both?! It's bullshit! I'm level 61, and I'm still not OP!"
That did sound like bullshit. Stands were cool. I wasn't going to Jojo, the enemies were all stand users, yes, but they were human. 'Oh? Your stand let's you do this? Well you're a squishy human so here's a slash of aura.' It wouldn't be fun. Besides, they were pretty much just modern worlds. Saya would just choose to go somewhere else. I zoned back into Yin's rant, and decided to change topics.
"Gonna use the race change? Or is it permanent?" She stopped ranting at that, and I saw her eyes glaze over again.
"It's not permanent. And I probably will. Maybe tonight. You and the other girls are all kinds of bullshit and I want that." I snorted at that.
"Says the fucking Gamer." She blinked at that, and looked away. I could tell that got her. That, and it looks like she remembered to be scared.
"Anyway. When I DO use it, anything I should know? I've never watched or read Noblesse." I gasped at that.
"HUH? HOW?! WHY?!" She looked more caught off guard at my reaction then I was expecting.
"W-well, I just didn't have the time! Besides, I checked the reviews about the anime, saw people didn't really like it, and stayed away. I TRIED to read it, but the early art sucked in my opinion. I just couldn't get into it." I gasped again!
"HEATHEN! What about the Awakening movie? Did you even watch that?" She blinked.
"There was a movie?" She did not...
"Fucking hell! You uncultured swine!" She looked as offended as I felt.
"HEY! I'll have you know I was plenty cultured! I just had too much on my hands to watch as much anime as I used too! Being a secretary was harsh work!"
"Sureee. Make all the excuses you want. Anyway, I made a routine for my girls and the rest of the pack. I'll give you it tomorrow or something. I don't exactly have something to write on." She nodded at that. I watched her grow a little somber, and was curious about what her next words would be.
"So... You're from the bus..." I hummed at that.
"I sat in the middle. Didn't really recognize the fuck was going on until we blew up."
"Must've been nice. I was up front. I watched the damn thing crash into us!" I snorted at that.
"Were you one of the ones yelling?"
"Of course I was! It was a fucking bus!"
"Hah. Pussy!" She kicked me in the shin, and I laughed at the way she jumped and held her foot after. Joking around made her fear of me disappear, and that was what I was going for. Talking to someone scared of you was a hard thing to do.
"Why did I get hurt from that!?" I laughed at her misfortune. After a second or two of that, she put her foot back on the ground, and grumbled at me. "Anyway, back to this whole conversation." She was annoyed at me, but the fear she had seemed to be gone.
"So, out of my skills, you've only got four options." She grunted at that.
"Ok... What are they?"
"There's Wolf King's aura, Wisdom, Wrath and The One True Wolf." When I said the last one, she froze. I thought I saw stars in her eyes too. (Kinda like Ruby actually.) Then she rushed me, put her hand on my shoulders, and started to shake me? (Huh?)
"I CAN GET THAT?!" She shook me like her life depended on it, and I just laughed as she did. It took her a moment to realize what she was doing as she heard my laugh, but when she did, I laughed even more. She stopped shaking me, and looked embarrassed as hell. "THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Got it!?"
"Sure. Whatever you say kid." She kicked my shin again, and huffed when it hurt her more then me again. "Anyway, you should probably wait till you use the race change. Wouldn't want to waste it by getting something like our senses instead of the actual good stuff." She looked at me, and blinked.
"Sounds like a plan." I nodded at that, and went back to thinking. Then I had a thought.
"Do you know how to unlock someone's aura?" She blinked again, and I knew she realized why I asked.
"Yeah. It's stupidly easy when you actually know what to do... Do you want me to do that?" Perfect.
"Fuck yeah. I DID want to get my girls Remnant aura. It'll just be easier if I can do it for them instead of someone else." Because despite our ability being called 'aura' it wasn't the same. Ours was a racial ability, while Remnant's aura was a manifestation of your soul. It was easy to confuse the two since they had the same name, but it was similar to reed and read. You could pronounce the two in a similar way, but they both meant something different.
She nodded at that, and walked up to me. She placed her hand on my head, and started to talk.
"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality.
Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance, and unbound by death.
I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."
After that last word, I felt it. My aura, both as a Werewolf, and as a projection of my soul, erupted. I was tempted. So tempted, to howl to the sky. The rush of power was different then my form or whenever I used Wrath. It was more wild, more primal. And then I saw it.

Wolf King's Aura evolving. Updating...
Update complete... Semblance manifesting...
Manifest completed.
Wolf King's Aura - The soul of a king, awakened and made manifest by 'Gamer Yin Xiao-Long.' The wilds flow through you. Your body and soul are set free. The king of his kind. The ruler of those beneath you. There is no creature that will stand above you uncontested. No creature, wolf in blood or simply appearance will stand in your path.
Aura abilities such as The One True Wolf will take aura before stamina. Prior abilities of Wolf King's Aura strengthened.
Semblance identified.
Fenrir (Passive) - The wolf god and beast of Ragnarok. You have no limit to your growth, no limit in your desire for strength. Your journey will not end. Become the dog of war and let your enemies fall to your fangs. Capable of devouring a trait, some strength, or an ability of anything organic the host consumes. Host can only take one traits, strength, or ability from a species once. Exceptions can be made.
The rush of power kept washing over me for a bit more, but after another minute of it, I managed to reign it in. I clenched and un-clenched my hand for a few moments, then nodded. "Free power is the best power." I got another kick in the shin, and raised my brow when I looked back up to Yin. "Yeah?"
"Are you done with the power trip?" I rolled my eyes at that.
"I liked you more when you were scared of me." She huffed, and just looked away.
"A part of me still is. I'm just choosing to ignore it and freak out later."
"Uhuh. So, what's you're endgame?"
"Huh?" She looked confused, and for good reason. Though I was curious about what she'd do.
"After Salem. What's the plan?" She paused, and just looked up to the moon.
"Not sure. I DO want to do the whole travel around the multiverse thing. I know that for sure. Just not sure about where I'd want to go. I know where I WON'T go yet, but I haven't planned that out yet."
"Oh? Where's the almighty Gamer avoiding huh?"
"Fate. I'm not dealing with that troll of a vampire and the whole war thing." Sounded reasonable. "I'm not going to DxD. Maybe in a few years, but not anytime soon."
"Really? Why not?" I recognized DxD as the somewhat ok titty anime, though it shouldn't have been that bad. Then she looked at me like I was stupid.
"Why should I? Let's say I go there. I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up the next day and see Ophis staring at me as I slept. There's no way that super loli DOESN'T notice someone coming into her world. And don't get me started on the fucking scaling! One arc you have a fuckboy and his harem, the next you're fighting some centuries old Cadre from the fucking bible that says GOD is dead! It doesn't make sense! And then there's the Trihexa! NOPE! NO SIR!"
She had a point. I couldn't beat Ophis. Maybe not yet atleast, but there were other strong people there I'd be fucked against. Sirzechs had his PoD so fuck my regeneration, Serafall could freeze me and shatter me like a sculpture, the gods exist there, and none of my girls or I could deal with them yet. I think. Then there was Great Red. Yeah, fuck that. The more I thought about it, the more I could see why she was reluctant to go there. (Why the fuck are harem anime the ones with the most broken worlds?) It was something I realized as a 'plot' connoisseur.
Though I'd put it on the list.
"Then there's Berserk. I'm not touching that with a fucking power pole! And speaking of! I am NEVER going to DBZ!" That got me humming. Almost everyone in DBZ was a casual planet buster, so she had a point... But...
"DBZ... Might need to set a trip there in a few years, maybe decades depending on the girls growth rates." Yin just stopped pacing, and stared at me. I met her gaze, and just raised a brow.
"You've got a problem." That got me to laugh. She started to chuckle a bit after, and we just laughed at it for a bit.
"Anyway. I'll probably be out of your hair in a month or something. We're going to Atlas at some point for Saya. I'm mostly giving them a good world to start with and then move onto something that'll challenge them."
"Really? Not gonna do the whole 'beat Salem and save the world' thing?"
"Fuck no. That's what you're here for." She clicked her tongue, but didn't deny it.
"Oh well... Are we done? Cause I'm feeling a little tired." I shrugged.
"I don't mind. I've got a pile of girlfriends to get back too." I turned as I said that, and heard Yin choke. I started walking ahead, but stopped after a bit when Yin wasn't following. When I checked to see why, I had to raise a brow at her. Yin was blushing like crazy, and almost stuttered when she met my gaze. I kept looking at her, and eventually she started coming over.
"... Do you REALLY have a harem?" I nodded.
"Yeah. It kind of just happened."
"How does that even work!?"
"Stamina for days and keeping them all happy." She started choking at the stamina comment, but I laughed. Even as she started punching me in the back, it was still funny.
"Stupid broken asshole." I was outright wheezing at that.
We kept walking and talking, and eventually made it back to the house. That was where we broke off. There were too many people to fit in that one house, so we separated. My girls and I would sleep outside in wolf form, and the rest of them took the house. None of my girls minded, and I think the rest of team RWBY was happy to not be in the same building as me and Saeko.
Ruby was fine with me though, it was just Saeko everyone was scared of. Though Blake would rather jump off a cliff then be in the same room as me.
After Yin and I broke off, and I got back with my girls, I went to sleep, and wondered what we'd do tomorrow.
{Yin's POV after they split}
(That... That went way better then I was expecting. If you ignore he could destroy the planet, then he's a good guy... Kind of like a fun uncle... Which is weird since I was scared the guy would kill me if I so much as breathed wrong yesterday.)
[1,000 charisma is nothing to scoff at.]
(Oh... That makes sense... Weird.) I went back to thinking over the talk, and just the general experience of Maccillian. We meshed, well at that. He was even someone I could talk about the whole Gamer situation with, and about anime. It was something I realized I missed. Getting to just talk about something like that, get called a heathen or uncultured, that was great.
Though as I made my way up to mine and Yang's room, I thought about my rewards. (System. Is the race change something instant, or is it going to take time?)
[It'll knock you out and take a few hours to do.]
(Huh... Then I'll wait till I get in bed then...) When I got to our room, I changed out of my clothes and into my sleepwear. Pretty much dropping in bed, I laid there and was about to use the race change, then stopped. (Do I get it out of the way?) The gacha ticket was right there, and I felt my fingers twitch at the thought. A war was going on inside myself, and eventually, I gave in. I just needed ONE good roll. Maybe it would be this one?
[Use rare gacha ticket?]
[Y/N]
I clicked yes, and heard a gacha roll inside my mind. After a few seconds, it stopped. And I looked at what I got. Then my breath hitched.
[Skill - Summon swords (Devil May Cry - Vergil) Level 1/100
A staple of Vergil Sparda. By shaping and letting your mana flow outwards, you summon blades that will strike at your command.
Damage scales based on INT*2
Mana cost 50 per sword
Number of blades capable of creating 5]
I almost squealed then and there. (MY FIRST SPELL! FUCK YEAH!) I went the physical tree and I regretted it for years. I had mana, but my INT and WIS were lower then the rest of my stats. But I had to make that sacrifice. I would've stood out too much if I chose mage or support. The maidens, Salem and Ozpin were the only ones allowed to have magic. So if I suddenly appeared with magic, then I would be targeted by Salem and used by Ozpin before I was strong enough to set my own terms.
(BUT NOT ANYMORE! With my race change and fucking MAGIC, I can set my own terms and help the rest of the gang with this shit. Speaking of.)
[Use race change? Werewolf(Noblesse)]
[Y/N]
Pressing yes, I watched the prompt disappear, and instantly knocked out. But I knew I had a smile on my face as I did.
{Next day Maccillian's POV}
Waking up in a pile of fur always made me take a second to realize what was going on. After I did, that was when the morning would start. I'd wake up the girls, and we'd go hunt for breakfast. Though, we couldn't exactly eat Grimm, so it took longer for us to actually find something. There was always the option to leech off of team, RWBY, but we'd eat them out of house and home.
So after 10 minutes of looking for food, we managed to find enough for all of us to enjoy. It was while we were eating that I remembered what I wanted to do. "Mo lann, come here for a sec." Everyone stopped eating, and just looked at me. Saeko raised a brow, but came over anyway. I did what Yin did when she was close enough, and did the chant.
"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality.
Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance, and unbound by death.
I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."
When I started talking, they were all confused, but when it was done? They all watched as Saeko's aura's surged, and melded together. When it was done, she started shaking, not in a bad way, but in a 'hungry' way. She was even looking at me in the way I KNEW would lead to sex, so I just sighed. "After the others mo lann." She whined, but accepted it anyway.
After I unlocked the others aura's, Rika and Saya left, so I had a horny Saeko and Shizuka on my hands. It was going to be a long morning.
{Saya's POV after they split off}
(This is weird. I can feel both auras, but it's almost like they've fused completely. I could probably find a way to create a divider and use both of them separately, but it'll take time. Then there's whatever my 'semblance' may be. It'll be random, but from what I've gathered from the natives, It'll be something from my soul... Hm... I need to run some tests after I finish going over schematics with Ruby.)
I didn't pay as much mind to Rika as I should've, but to be fair, I just obtained a new ability that I could test and discover the limits of. That's why I didn't notice when Rika suddenly aimed her rifle and shot a Boarbatusk hiding in a bush. It knocked me out of my thoughts, and I grunted at Rika.
"Couldn't you have just slashed it? It's too early for gunshots a few feet away from me." Rika rolled her eyes at me, and kept going.
"Don't act like you won't play with your new toys the moment you get the chance."
"That's different. I won't shoot the gun form ALL the time. I still need to improve my aim."
"Didn't deny you'd shoot it."
"Of course I'm going to shoot it! What's the point of a whip shotgun if you don't shoot it?" Rika hummed at that.
"A shotgun huh? Sticking with ol reliable. Nice."
"Of course. It's the only gun I have SOME sort of experience with."
"Really? Last I heard, you used it more like a club then a gun." My eye twitched.
"I ran out of ammo! Besides, I beat back a bunch of THEM with it. I got results, we lived, I earned my bite, so you can't fault me for it anyway." Rika just started laughing at that. The bitch!
"Don't get so touchy about it Saya, you know I'm fucking with you. Besides, we got an audience, so get back in 'genius' mode." I saw that she was right, I was loud enough for the rest of the house to hear and gather by the windows, so I settled with hitting Rika on her shoulder, and going into the house.
As soon as I did, Ruby latched onto my arm, and I couldn't keep the smile from forming on my lips. "Saya! Are we going to do the rest of your weapon today? Can it be now? Please say it can be now!"
"Sure. Let me get something to drink, and we'll head over to the shed." Ruby squealed in excitement, and pulled me towards the fridge. I didn't mind Ruby. She was not only VERY talented when it came to weapon analysis and creation, but she was also a bundle of energy. She reminded me a little bit of Alice, and I liked her all the more for it.
Ruby went into the fridge, and after grabbing three juice boxes, we started making our way out, but before we did, Weiss joined us. "I might not be able to help with your weapon, but I still have things to talk with you about."
"That's fine. Just don't blow anything up Weiss." Seeing her eye twitch made me smile. Despite our... Less then amicable first impression, we became friends when we actually talked to the other while we were on the bullhead. It took us a few minutes, after of finding out the situation with dust and the Schnee family, and then talking about the Takagi family, but we reached the same conclusion.
We were the same. She wasn't as smart as I was, obviously, but in other ways? Our childhood was lonely. People didn't care about US, they cared about our name. We both had a desire for knowledge. When we realized how much we had in common, it was only natural for us to become friends. "That was only one time!" I snorted at that.
"One time of stupidity that I'll keep holding over you for the days to come." Weiss groaned, but followed us anyway. As we were going, we made small talk, and Weiss asked an interesting question.
"Earlier, you mentioned THEM. What exactly are they?" We hadn't gotten to the part of telling them where we came from. We'd skipped over that, and focused more on the situation with Beacon, how strong we were, and WHAT we were. By now, they all knew we were Werewolves. Ruby was the most excited to learn that. And just like before, Ruby was interested in this kind of question.
"Oh yeah. Didn't you mention THEM before? You never really said what THEY were? Were they Grimm?"
"No. THEY were weaker then Grimm. But in a way, worse." They both blinked at that.
"What could be worse then the Grimm?"
"Zombies. Zaka keeps calling THEM that, but Saeko and I keep calling those abominations THEM and THEY. Made it easier to dissociate them with their zombie counterparts." After I said that, both of the girls stopped walking, and just stayed where they were. Ruby looked frozen, and Weiss just looked as white as her hair. "What?"
Ruby just blinked, and Weiss started shaking. "A-as in... Z-z-zombie's, as in apocalyptic zombies?"
"Yes. A bite and you turn. Our world lost all semblance of structure in hours." I was used to that. Them however? Weiss fainted, and Ruby was as still as a statue. "Huh... She'll be fine."
Ruby was still unresponsive, but it was fine. I just grabbed the both of them, and dragged them towards the shed. There was still work to be done.
{Maccillian's POV an hour later}
With a satisfied Shizuka and Saeko trailing after me, I made my way to the house, and stopped. I was about to open the door, but it opened and I was hit by a punch from a red and silver missile. Said missile then took a whiff, froze, then ran back into the house and into the kitchen, pinching her nose. The rest of us all just watched it happen, and I was confused. "What the hell just happened?"
"I COULD HEAR YOU! AND I JUST SMELLED YOU!" Oh.
"That's kind of your fault now isn't it?"
"HOW!?"
"Just is." We all watched as something was thrown from the kitchen, towards me, and I just let it hit me. "A sponge? Really?"
"SHUT IT!" I laughed at that, and just went into the house, ignoring the weird looks from everyone else. Saeko realized what was going on, and hummed as she made her way to... The kitchen? Uh oh.
Shizuka just followed me to a couch, and we sat there as the rest of the house went into motion... Which wasn't a lot. Qrow wasn't here, he was checking on Ozpin, who lost an arm but still survived. Tai had gone out to get groceries, Rika went with Tai to shop for clothes, Ruby and Weiss were with Saya, so it was just Yang and Blake. Zwei was in the kitchen, so he didn't count.
Blake hid behind another couch, but Yang sent a glare at me. "What'd you do to my sister!?" She was clenching her fists, and seemed ready to prime Ember Cecilia. Though Yin helped.
"I did it to myself Yang! So no attacking the guy capable of leveling all of Patch on accident!" Yang froze, then looked away. It seems her rational brain remembered I could do just that. Though I didn't mind the aggression. It was for family after all.
After that, the rest of the morning played out. I wrote down our training schedule for Yin, had a good time relaxing, then eventually decided to go hunting. Shizuka stayed at the house, so I was on my own for now. Though that did make me think. (I'm technically not. Salem can see some of what the Grimm do if she focuses on them... Wonder how she's taking me being here? Not that it really matters, but it's a fun thought.)
With that, I went about my Grimm hunting, and decided to run across the ocean looking for beasties. Despite how many Grimm types there were around land, unless I found another dragon, there wouldn't be anything fun to fight. But in the ocean? If I pissed off enough Grimm, I'd eventually find something worth my time... Just wasn't sure how long that'd take. But it was fine. I had a few hours to kill.
[Omake - What a horrible way to wake up. Yin's POV before Maccillian came to the house]
"GIVE IT TO ME MY LORD! HARDER! HARDER!" When I heard those words, I sat up in my bed, but accidentally did it too fast. I rocketed towards my wall, and face planted into it. Bashing my head into the wall was NOT how I wanted to start my morning, but the world seemed to want this to be the way I woke up.
"Motherfucker... Wha...-"
"Silveeer!" Oh no. My brain recognized what I was hearing, and I paled. Maccillian told me about Werewolf senses, and now I was experiencing them in the worst way possible!
I jumped out of my bed, put on my clothes, and tried to ignore or figure out how to tune my hearing down. BUT IT WASN'T WORKING! (System! HELP!)
[How about no? I like no.]
(System please! It's been like 10 minutes, and they're only getting louder!) I heard the system snicker in my mind, and I felt doomed. Then I remembered I had help! I ran downstairs, and looked for Rika or Saya, but I couldn't find them.
"Yang! Where's Rika or Saya?" My sister just waved at me.
"The sniper chick went out to shop, and pinky went back to the shed with Rubes and Weiss-cream."
"K thanks!" I ran out of the house, covering my ears as I did, and made my way to the shed. I slammed the door open, surprising the trio inside, and dashed over to Saya. "HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?!" Saya looked at me, over to my ears, then blinked. She put a hand on my shoulder, and nodded like a sage.
"I know your pain." Then Saya helped me figure it out, and I pretty much swore her as my new bestfriend.
The idea for Maccillian's semblance is sort of based off of the 'Plunder' ability from The Dark Wolf Shiro's fics. He makes good shit, and I like the idea of making something based off of him.
Despite what it says, the semblance isn't going to be THAT op. I have it as a hard cap of one trait per species of whatever he eats. And like it says, it has to be ORGANIC. So he can't eat something like dust, and suddenly shoot fire out of his ass.
He can't eat Grimm either since they aren't organic. They're SOMETHING, but not really flesh and blood.
An example would be Maccillian eating a Minotaur from Danmachi. I'd give him choices like [Hard hide] - [Strength excelia +50] stuff like that. But that would be it. If Maccillian ate another Minotaur, he'd get nothing.
