Chapter 356: The Mysterious Girl, Lois

The girl who appeared seemingly out of nowhere seemed oblivious to the concept of danger. Seeing Doctor Doom gaining the upper hand against the Fantastic Four, she immediately engaged in a barrage of taunts aimed at the formidable villain before her.

She appeared to be around sixteen or seventeen, with the distinctively beautiful features of a mixed-race individual. Her face alone could rival Daisy's, and her youthful vitality shone through her casual upper attire and denim shorts.

"Hmph!"

With his heart already corroded by hatred, Doom only scoffed at the girl's mockery and, without hesitation, shot a bolt of electricity directly at her. He intended to ruthlessly eliminate anyone who dared oppose him, innocent girl or not.

"Be careful!"

The Fantastic Four, unable to intercept Doom's sudden attack in time, could only watch in horror. Susan, the Invisible Woman, shouted a warning, though she knew it was almost pointless; after all, electricity travels much faster than sound.

However, facing the lethal assault, the girl calmly extended a slender finger and lightly tapped the air in front of her.

"Buzz!"

With her touch, a spatial vortex formed instantly before her, devouring Doom's electric attack without resistance, leaving no trace behind.

The onlookers were stunned, realizing that this girl possessed terrifying control over space.

The next moment, the vortex she had created with a flick of her finger turned into a beautiful pink bubble, enchanting yet ominous given its previous display of consuming lightning.

The girl then smiled slightly, and with another flick, the bubble transformed, stretching and morphing like blown glass into a three-and-a-half-inch long, crystal-clear pink dagger.

"Go!"

As the blade took shape, she flicked her finger forward, and the pink dagger streaked through the air, piercing Doom's chest. His body, hardened to steel, offered no resistance against the girl's casual strike, which effortlessly sliced open his abdomen.

The speed and power of her attack were astonishing—likely even Tony's Iron Man suit couldn't withstand it.

But the shock didn't end there.

Doom's body froze in place, not because he was dead—he could easily suppress fatal wounds given his metallic body didn't bleed—but he dared not move. The pink energy dagger, still lodged inside him, wasn't stopped by any physical resistance; it ceased only because the girl willed it.

As Doom looked on in horror, the girl chuckled and spoke again, "When dealing with bad guys, one should thoroughly eliminate the evil. So, I'm not going to negotiate any terms with you. Just die. Bang!"

Her playful "bang" matched her actions, as the dagger exploded inside Doom, creating a twisted spatial vortex. Under the watchful eyes of the Fantastic Four, it tore his metallic body to shreds before swallowing the pieces, leaving no trace of him behind.

This was an instant kill!

Her attack was as devastating as the Dark Elves' anti-matter bombs.

Turning to the stunned Fantastic Four, she blinked her innocent eyes and said, "I just helped you with a big problem. Shouldn't you say thank you?"

"Oh, thank you so much."

Johnny Storm, also known as the Human Torch and resembling Captain America, was the first to respond. His eyes lit up the moment he saw the mixed-race girl. "Little miss, thanks for your help. How about I take you out for a meal to show my gratitude?"

However, as Johnny approached with fiery enthusiasm, the girl waved her hand, creating another spatial wave that blocked him and teleported him behind Reed and the others, keeping him at a distance.

Looking baffled, Johnny heard the girl say, "I've heard you're quite the playboy, so please, keep your distance. This is just a warning. Next time, I might not be so gentle."

Johnny muttered to Sue, "Her powers remind me of someone."

Indeed, not just Johnny, but the other three members also thought of the same person.

With a serious look, Reed, the leader of the Fantastic Four, spoke up first, "Thank you for your help. May I ask your name?"

"Sure," the girl paused before replying distinctly, "I'm Lois."

As she finished speaking, the figures before her blurred, and then a familiar figure appeared between them and Lois.

The newcomer nodded slightly at Reed before turning his attention to Lois, "So, you're Lois? A cheerful name indeed."

He was an Asian man, tall and distinguished. Even in casual clothes, he radiated an imposing aura, combining handsomeness and grace in a way that was unforgettable.

Among those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such charisma and charm could belong to none other than Clark.

Lois eyed Clark curiously, then spoke with a challenging tone, "And then?"

Clark didn't seem offended by her defiance, finding her fearless spirit reminiscent of his younger self.

Smiling calmly, he asked, "You have the energy of the Tesseract within you—what are you exactly?"

Lois raised an eyebrow, defiantly replying, "Why should I tell you?"

Clark smiled gently at her challenge, thinking that if she believed her secrets could be kept from him, she was mistaken. Subtly, he extended his psychic energy towards her, a move that would normally reveal much about a person without their noticing.

However, unexpectedly, as his mental probe neared her, it was repelled by a force both familiar and utterly unknown, snapping back at him.

Foiled in his attempt, Clark looked at her, slightly taken aback. He felt a strong familiarity with the energy around her, yet it was clear that she wielded something unique. Glancing at her fate line, he saw it was notably robust and intertwined closely with his own—another curious connection.

Repelling Clark's psychic exploration, Lois frowned, "Keep your mental powers to yourself, you creep!"

Creep?

That accusation struck a nerve. Clark was hardly ever ruffled by such comments, but coming from a stranger, it was both amusing and irritating.

Was he really such a bad guy? Perhaps, to some. But if Maria Hill or Ava had said it, he might have brushed it off. If it came from Daisy or Nalan Bai, he'd have laughed it off. But from an unknown girl? That stung a bit.

He thought about teaching her a lesson on respect, but her indignant expression made him hesitate. He couldn't bring himself to be harsh with her, not really. He even found himself at a loss for words.

Who was this girl, and what was her background? Who raised such an unruly child? If Clark ever met her parents, he might indeed have a few choice words for them.

"Humph!" Lois, sensing she was no match for Clark in a direct confrontation, huffed and then turned on her heel, leaving a stylish exit that ended with her stepping out and disappearing from view.

As she left, Clark was filled with curiosity but no desire to chase after her to uncover more. After all, having been labeled a "creep," he wasn't inclined to warm up to someone so cold. Besides, with her abilities, she was unlikely to face any dangers on Earth.

Why should he worry about that troublesome kid?

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts of Lois, Clark turned to Reed, "I came here today to discuss Earth's defense with you all. I didn't expect you to be in trouble, so I apologize for my late arrival. Don't take it the wrong way."

With the crisis averted and initial introductions awkwardly concluded, Clark was ready to focus on the reason for his visit, hoping to consolidate an alliance with the Fantastic Four to protect the planet. As for Lois, her mysterious presence and abrupt departure left many questions unanswered, questions that Clark was sure would eventually demand his attention again.
