The addition of casual intimacy after that kiss at Lanaut’s had his blood up, as well. Solna had a habit of dropping kisses randomly on Vius’ lips or cheeks or jaw. Sometimes, he would place them on Vius’ knuckles or fingertips. Right before sleep, Solna would pull Vius over his chest like a living blanket and kiss the stars on his brow with a reverence that Vius had never known before. But his husband would also frustrate him in the same way.

Even now, Solna tight against his back, Vius could feel the stiff length of him dig into the base of his spine. Whether wrapped in their bedroll or in the saddle, Vius would notice it. He wanted to feel in again with an insatiable hunger and every time that he tried to entice Solna’s carnal appetite, Solna would smile and kiss him, but allow things to progress no further.
