Makomo and first servant

Shin ran around killing every demon in sight with a single swing from his blade. The demons in the exam were quite easy to deal with compared to the ones he slayed during his stay at the Kamado residence.

It didn't take more than a day and a half for Shin to make his way through half the mountain. He took every demons' life that crossed his path, during this time he came across many other participants who gave in under pressure and died or stayed strong to live another day.

Shin didn't bother to save anyone, they weren't worth saving in his eyes as they never gained his attention.

Everyone knew what they were getting themselves into the moment they stepped onto this mountain, they should have been prepared to face the consequences and die. If you can't save or protect yourself then what's the point of doing the same for anyone else?

"Get over here!" A raspy voice yelled.

Shin turned around to see two demons charging towards him trying to knock each other down. "He's mine, back away you trash!"

"I found him first you greedy piece of sh-" The demon's head went flying before it could even finish it's sentence.

"That's what you ge-" The same happened to the other who had a smug look on his face.

"I don't have time to see two old men fighting, just die and stop wasting my time." Shin sheathed his sword and dashed away in a random direction after dealing with the two.

Suddenly the ground and trees began to start shaking violently. Shin turned his head to the right and saw what looked like the girl from the beginning of the exam fighting a disgusting blob looking thing. It was huge with an abnormal amount of arms wrapping around it's entire body.

'Isn't that the girl from before?' Shin looked towards her heart and nodded. 'That's her alright, what the hell is she even fighting? Whatever, it's not my problem..'

Shin took one last look at her before turning around but-

"Water Breathing: Fourth Form - Striking Tide!"

Water formed behind the girl's sword. She began making multiple consecutive slashes while twisting her body in a flowing fashion similar to a harsh tide, aiming for the demon's neck.

"I got you!" She yelled, her sword made contact with the demon's neck. Yet unlike what usually happened, the girl's sword broke on impact.

The demon smiled sadisticly before hitting the girl in her ribs and sending her flying. She tried her best to stand but fell on her knees moments later.

A creepy laugh escaped the demon's mouth. Its eyes looked down on the girl who was still trying her best to process what had just occurred. "Giving up little fox?~"

The demon looked to be in complete hysteria as it started counting. "You'll be number twelve little fox. If only I could see the look on that man's face when he finds out he lost another student!"

She didn't respond, no, she couldn't respond. She was spiraling down the hole of depression. The light in her eyes was slowly getting dimmer. She was losing hope, hoping for anything or anyone to help her.

Shin sighed seeing this, he was sitting on a tree branch facing the two. 'Should I save her? She does seem interesting unlike the others and that water breathing seems useful..'

The ground started trembling once more. Four arms shot up from the ground and grabbed the girl's arms and legs, she tried getting on its grasp but she wasn't strong enough.

'Fine I'll do it, she'll be my first servant if she says yes. I'll just hope he agrees to convert her along with me.'

Shin stood up then proceeded to speak in a cold tone. "Do you wish to live? To avenge those lost to that thing?" He asked the girl.

The girl and demon turned towards the call to see a boy with long spiky black to red hair and clouded eyes. He was looking at them with an indifferent gaze.

A bit of light came back to the girl's eyes when she saw Shin. The demon's face formed into an amused one. "Do you really think you c-"

"Yes!" The girl quickly answered interrupting the demon.

"Even if it means to give up your humanity? To serve under me?" Shin didn't need to worry about anyone listening in to the conversation. The demon being the only witness and he would be dead soon.

"Y-Yes!"  She stuttered but she still gave him an answer.

That's all he needed to hear. A slight smile formed on Shin's face hearing her answer.  "I'll give you just that."

Shin drawed his sword and took a deep breath. With no hesitation he jumped towards the demon as more arms shot up from the ground, but he easily cut them down.

"Moon Breathing: First Form - Dark Moon - Evening Palace."

A swift slash came in towards the demon's neck, the demon could clearly see it yet he didn't do anything. Even if he did it would be too late, yet he still had that arrogant look in his eyes.

Shin's smile widened when he saw his sword cut into the demon's neck easily. The look on his facs crumbled to nothing and formed into disbelief and horror.

*Thwop!*

The demon's head slid down its throat then fell down to the ground.

Shin sheathed his head. The demon's body began to turn to ash and not long after he heard his new servant landing on the ground and walking towards him.

"Thank you for saving me." She said before slightly bowing to him.

"You don't need to thank me, I'm your master now. tell me your name."  Shin said without his expression shifting.

"My name is Makomo, m-master." Her face became slightly red towards the end. Shin nodded his head.

"You can lift your head, I'm Shin." He said, seeing her lift her head.

"Master, what did you mean earlier about giving up my humanity?"

Shin looked at her for a moment before letting out a sigh internally. 'I did say she was going to be my first servant but now is too early..maybe I'll let her know after the exam.'

"You'll find out later, all I ask from you is loyalty. For now we need to focus on passing." Shin said.

"You don't have to doubt how loyal I can be, I'll give you my undying loyalty."  Makomo said in a serious tone.

"Then prove it to me, I'll be looking towards it." Shin said before walking away.

"Yes, Master." Makomo quickly followed behind.

Makamo has joined the fray.

This is how I wanted to do her introduction, make her serve under a great future demon!

I don't know much about her personality so I'll make her how I've seen her and add a few things here and there.
