Leslie sucked in a sharp breath, unable to believe what Calix had just told her. Bewilderment drowned the flicker of curiosity in her eyes. His words echoed again in her mind.
"Calix... did you just say you dreamed of them when all three of us... slept together?"
Calix smiled sheepishly, noticing the disbelief in Leslie's tone. Her reaction was intelligible, already foreseeable by him.
Exhaling a sigh, Calix uttered, "It's hard to believe, en? I came to the conclusion after several trials."
"Yes... I really didn't expect that," replied Leslie truthfully, her voice subdued, "So, you wouldn't dream when it's just either me or Poppy?"
"Yes."
Calix narrated further about the particular story, confessing that he didn't think much about the possibility until later. None of those dreams came when their family didn't sleep together.
